Regarding the dark-looking images, Ovvy captures multiple exposures for every shot so we can recover detail in both shadows and highlights during editing. The preview shown immediately after capture is a middle exposure, not the final edited image, so it can look darker or flatter than expected. We also apologize if the free-photo and payment messaging was unclear. The first 20 photos are free. We only request payment information if your first listing exceeds the 20-photo limit, including any special editing requests, so we can cover the additional work. Fast forward to recently, a good friend of mine who’s a realtor asked if I could take some photos for a listing. All I had was my iPhone 13 Pro Max, so I figured I’d give it a shot.
