### 2/5 — Wouldn’t recommend as a monitor

*2026-07-26, version 3.25.2*

Whilst seeming convenient the app is forever timing out if running in the background of your phone. Currently, as soon as I reduce it to the out of app visual, the audio cuts out, which I rely on. I never know if it’s working on not and I wake up during the night just to check it. I am constantly listening out for any noise because I don’t trust the app.

### 2/5 — Very slow app

*2026-05-25, version 3.25.2*

App takes too long to connect to the device making it pointless. Seeing the data isn’t very insightful either

### 2/5 — Best monitor - when it works

*2026-04-26, version 3.25.2*

I don’t know why as we have virgin business internet with speeds on 1000mb and starlink which kicks in should there ever be any issues… but we have to refresh the app at least once every day and sometimes multiple times a day including having to turn my phone on and off. I really wish they would upgrade their tech and sort these issues as finding out your baby has been crying for more than you are comfortable for despite having the app open on your phone is really upsetting.

However - saying all of this… when the app works it’s bloody brilliant. So come on Owlet - invest some money and do some bug fixes.

### 2/5 — Terrible

*2026-03-09, version 3.25.1*

The app is slow and unreliable. So many times the “live” feed has shown me an old image for a good 10 seconds before updating to the present. Constant bugs and issues.

### 2/5 — Not working properly

*2026-03-01, version 2.23.5*

Is this no longer supported? App working really poorly recently

### 2/5 — Is this app no longer supported?

*2026-02-26, version 2.23.5*

It’s gone from working well to the slowest app in the history of apps in the space of a few months. We’ve got two children with owlets one has this version and the other with the newer owlet dream, and we’ve seen a marked decline recently in this app. It won’t load, it takes 30 mins for the data to come up, historical data never shows, if there’s an alert it gets stuck on it. What’s going on? Is the product redundant now? Because it feels like it. We bought this as we have a cardiac baby so it’s pretty serious

### 2/5 — average

*2026-02-03, version 2.23.5*

The whole thing needs work.

### 1/5 — App button issues

*2026-02-01, version 2.23.5*

The next buttons ‘>’ are not working in the app so I when I get to the screen for selecting my child I can’t do anything. Same with selecting options in the setting screen. I’m using an iPhone air. Please fix!

### 2/5 — Not made for iPad…

*2026-02-01, version 2.23.5*

Overall, the product is good but I’m disappointed in the app.

I bought an iPad specifically so I could keep the app open - using the iPad like a traditional baby monitor as I found I using the phone only inconvenient.

I am therefore disappointed the app hasn’t been scaled for the iPad especially given this is one of the most expensive products in the most.

### 1/5 — iPad app not working well

*2026-01-31, version 2.23.5*

iPad app doesn’t work no readings most of the time

### 1/5 — This is so hard

*2026-01-24, version 2.23.5*

I cannot believe how hard this app is to connect to not just your WiFi, but also the device itself. I have been trying for 6 hours straight and it is impossible to fix. The companies help guides are terrible as well. As a new parent of a new born. I hardly have time or patience for this.

### 1/5 — So many bugs

*2026-01-06, version 2.23.5*

The Cam 2 consistently doesnt work. No it is not a connection issue. It consistently drops out of the camera view and despite having “background audio” turned on I am always having to close & reopen the app to start it up again and it stops working after only 1 minute. My app is updated and I have restarted the cam. Nothing works. The camera view also doesnt update if you open the app from having it in the background. It keeps it frozen from when you last looked at it. This combined with the background noise not working can trick the user into thinking their baby is fast asleep when in reality anything could be going on. For the view to work again you have to completely close it & reopen and then wait ages for it to load up again.

### 1/5 — Worst App and camera

*2026-01-05, version 2.23.5*

Terrible app, will often just stop working and say it is unable to connect. This was extremely frustrating particularly when our baby was a newborn. Nothing seems to fix the issue unless you completely reset the camera. Turning off and on doesn’t work, just have to wait until a later time and the connection will be working again. This has happened on and off for 8 months.

We also believe that the camera was hacked at one stage - we heard a voice come across the microphone. Prior to that she had also been waking up a lot. Immediately changed the password and no wake ups. Super creepy. Next time I will just get a closed circuit camera and will be selling this one.

### 1/5 — Always freezes

*2025-12-10, version 2.23.5*

Cuts out and freezes then you hear your child screaming. So annoying

### 1/5 — Shazin

*2025-12-06, version 2.23.5*

Check reviews before purchasing owlet camera , most problematic item I have ever bought. Endless connection issues . Good luck getting it work, terrible support

### 2/5 — Great product. When it’s working.

*2025-10-18, version 2.23.5*

We are using Cam2 and it is constantly disconnecting from the app requiring a power cycle of our router and re-registration of the device each time. When it does work it is a great product but unfortunately it is incredibly stressful to continuously need to reconnect the device.

### 1/5 — Breaks completely when you add a second child

*2025-10-12, version 2.23.5*

Once you add a second child the app freezes and crashes, background audio and warnings no longer appear in your phone, the app is essentially useless.

Works fine for 1 child. Workaround is to have mum have 1 account with 1 child on her phone, have the other child on a seperate account on my phone. Should just work 👎

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Don’t use

*2026-08-29, version 3.25.2*

This came up with an error code in the night. Our child was crying for 2 hours and we had no idea. It wasn’t the wifi or our camera as it continued to record videos of our child crying.

### 1/5 — Impossible to set up

*2026-05-04, version 3.25.2*

Have been unable to connect the sock to the app as the app doesn’t recognise any WiFi options for the sock. I’ve got 2.4 WiFi and the camera works fine. Been round and round following support videos and chat. The app isn’t helpful to resolve the issue. Most expensive thing I’ve bought for baby and worst experience.

### 1/5 — Hot garbage

*2026-04-24, version 3.25.2*

Sock works kinda, camera works kinda. Connecting the app?? HELL no 4 days of giving up and coming back because I spent $450 on special!!. Once I figured it out it then deletes all progress when you close the app😂😂 I am now putting it on marketplace and telling some hopeful sucker like me that my baby doesn’t need it anymore

### 1/5 — Not reliable

*2026-04-13, version 3.25.2*

I purchased this monitor for my baby and I find it really unreliable , it always goes off line. Would never buy again or recommend to anyone.

### 1/5 — Atrocious all

*2026-03-20, version 3.25.2*

The sock is great, the app is atrocious. I cannot explain how frustrating it has been!

Constantly lagging and reconnecting no matter how good your internet is or how close you are to the base station.

Every time you exit the app or go into the history and back to main page it has to spend ages reconnecting - not ideal when you want to check on your child quickly.

The lag also affects alerts - ‘incorrect sock placement’ alerts wake everyone up because even if you quickly grab your phone and open the app it takes ages to connect before you can silence the alert. Very frustrating having your baby woken up due to this.

### 1/5 — Over it

*2026-03-08, version 3.25.1*

It always disconnects, it is lagged, and now it isn’t even letting me connect the camera ?! I’ve tried so many times to connect it today and it won’t let me.

### 1/5 — Most recent update seems to have bricked our camera 2

*2026-03-06, version 3.25.0*

We have an owlet that has been working fine but as of updating we seem to have no devices added. When we try to add it back in we get that the camera was successfully added but no devices show up on our profile.

Very frustrating, hopefully gets fixed soon!

### 1/5 — Why no updates??

*2026-02-22, version 2.23.5*

Absolutely bonkers that this app hasn’t had an update in a year!

### 1/5 — App won’t send a code to create an account

*2026-02-22, version 2.23.5*

Tried to create an account and the app is asking for a code sent to my email. No email (not in junk) and when I ask for the email to be “resent” I got flagged as suspicious activity and told to wait longer than one min. It’s been 15 min and still nothing.

### 1/5 — Piece of junk

*2026-02-03, version 2.23.5*

Device does not connect to app. Essentially seems like you have to change all your wifi settings and make your wifi password basic with no special characters to get the device to work which we have no interest in doing.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Worth the investment

*2026-08-15, version 3.25.2*

We’re so grateful for our Owlet as we made the transition from the NICU to home life as a family of three. After spending so much time surrounded by monitors and medical support, bringing our little one home was both exciting and nerve-wracking.
The Owlet gave us an added sense of reassurance during those early days and helped us feel a little more confident as we adjusted to life at home. It became such a comforting part of our routine and gave us some extra peace of mind while we learned to navigate this new chapter.

It’s definitely an investment and can be expensive, but for us, it was 100% worth it. Going from the NICU to home is a huge transition, and having the Owlet there was such a help for our family. We’re incredibly thankful for the extra reassurance it provided during such a special, exhausting and emotional time.

### 5/5 — Honestly can’t live without it

*2026-07-08, version 3.25.2*

Could you ever add body temperature- if you do that it would be the best thing ever. Could a better song be on Instead of 3 little ducks haha

### 5/5 — Great product, terrible app

*2026-05-28, version 3.25.2*

We love the sock and it helps us sleep peacefully knowing that she is being monitored but the app is so frustrating to use! It is very lag-y and takes ages to both display her sats and heart rate but also if the disconnect alarm notification pops up on our phone it takes a good 5+ seconds for it to load to then be able to silence it from your phone.

### 5/5 — Life saver

*2025-05-30, version 2.23.5*

Thank you owlet we love your product and with out it we wouldn’t of known to rush our little one to hospital, his oxygen dropped the sock alerted and we took him straight to hospital, he had RSV and is now better.

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2025-02-23, version 2.23.5*

Loving it a really good app to communicate with your baby or little sister so overall 5 stars

### 5/5 — Serenity

*2025-02-11*

Tellement sereins avec la chaussette owlet

### 5/5 — Laura

*2025-02-10, version 2.23.4*

Because of the smart dock app I can go to sleep at night and I have no anxiety.
THANK YOU for creating this device.

### 5/5 — Highly Recommend!

*2025-01-08, version 2.23.4*

The Owlet Care has been amazing for our family. Our twins were premmie and were on monitors in NICU, so to be able to have them still monitored at home has really put us at ease. And it helps us sleep too!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2024-12-16, version 2.23.4*

Works great

### 5/5 — Game changer.

*2024-09-19, version 2.23.2*

We have used the Owlet every night since our babe came home from the hospital (she’s now 7months). We just use it as a monitor we don’t constantly check her stats. If she is unwell and we are worried then we have used it as a guide. If we are having a hard time putting our baby down for her nap I’ll watch her heart rate drop so I know she is in a good sleep too. Personally, I think it’s allowed me to have better sleep as the theory is it’ll alert me if anything is wrong. So glad we spent the money and we will continue to use it as long as possible.
