But the recent overhaul is wretched. Took me forever to figure out the most basic functions. ### 2/5 — Update brought chaos *2026-05-08, version 1.1.6* After an auto update from Owltron both cameras constantly go off line even after deleting and resetting everything they work again the bang off line an hour later they completely forget the IP settings ….absolute nightmare ### 3/5 — Recent update *2026-05-08* The app was recently reviewed and in my opinion it’s not as good. Before the update there was a notification icon at the top that showed you a snapshot of what was detected and you could click on it there. Now you don’t have that or any sort of timeline. You just have to scroll through forever to look for something. ### 2/5 — Indoor Owltron camera *2025-10-05, version 1.1.5* iPad app has not been working for a few weeks but the iOS iPhone app is ok. I have uninstalled and installed a few times but still not working on iPad. Just shows a blank screen. I am thinking of buying a different brand. Why is iPad app not working app deveopers? Recently updated the app in hopes it’ll work better , all they did was add some Ads to the app. A mandatory ad page you have to get past to get to your actual camera footage . Everytime I open the app, ad comes on. This isn’t why I got a camera to watch ads. Take them off the app or I’m going to have to switch to another camera company. ### 1/5 — Limited iPad Abilities *2025-08-19* Cannot go full screen on an iPad in multi view. Sometimes it will go full screen when turning the iPad horizontal, but it’s not reliable. We tap around on buttons and eventually it may work. So instead we have tiny video on a large iPad screen and there’s so much wasted space. Edit August 2025: The app forces you to watch an ad before you can see the camera image. The ad takes forever to load, then the app counts down before you can close the ad. Highly recommend buying ANY other camera. ### 1/5 — Ads make this unusable *2025-08-04* I have been using Owltron for the last 5 months and it’s been ok. Not great but good enough for my purposes. In the last couple weeks the app has been nothing but ads and disconnects. If I wanted ads I’d get a game, not a security camera system.
