They gave me amazing options and I already bought the dress my stylist recommended!!! I also saw that you can style someone vis StyleMatch I really want to try and earn points as well!! When they incorporated personal styling into the app it took things up a level, so I get so much more out of it than just organisation of my own wardrobe and outfits with the clothes I already own (though that’s a huge + for me already!). I love that I can see different stylists aesthetics and pick someone to style me with clothes I own and new stuff. It also helps for sustainability-minded people like myself because I’m able to get so much more use out of what I own. I started using the app about a year ago and am impressed with the continued updates! ### 5/5 — Super app for styling advice *2020-07-01, version 1.7.33* The best thing about this app is the free styling sessions you get from real stylists who actually have taste and know what they are talking about! It's such a clever idea and I couldn't recommend it more. I booked a session and then had a quick video call to discuss what I was looking for. It took all the fuss out of texting my friends or having to plan a meeting in person. The stylist ended up taking me out my comfort zone and gave me some really cool recommendations. Adding items to my wardrobe was really easy too and takes far less time than I thought. I an still interested if a associate helps . ### 1/5 — Can’t even log into the app *2024-03-29, version 3.13.8* I used to love this app and had all my clothes and outfits uploaded. I couple of years ago I was logged out, can’t log back in or request a new password. I sent an email to see if my account could be recovered and had no response. Don’t get this app as they obviously don’t want you to use it even though they are still regularly ‘fixing bugs’. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2022-12-12* I had an account and really enjoyed it until it started glitching bad. Then to make matters worse I gave it some time thinking an update might come to find out my account is deleted. And I cannot set up another because I need a referral code to set one up? Even when I try to reset password it says that it is a failed request. I tried to access the app and all of a sudden neither my outfit nor my wardrobe would load. I logged out of the app and now cannot log back in nor reset my password. ### 3/5 — Editing Malfunctioning *2020-05-01* The app works and looks very pleasing so far. The only complain I have is that when I edit, the categories, like color, don’t load. I only see 3 options for color, black blue and brown. I only see 3 seasons. The edits options are not working well. It makes it hard to make proper outfits. This is really frustrating as i own lots of different colours. Please fix!!! The edit feature is amazing for reducing the background on the items I upload. Would definitely recommend I would like the app to develop More style ideas in the stylist section - could also have affiliate links I assume you want to monitize? More categories - in dresses have options for maxi, jumpsuits, midi etc. Have a fabric option e.g wool, silk etc. Categories within jewellery - when photos are auto categorised you have earrings but I can’t select that option if the auto is incorrect I’m enjoying using the app and I’m rediscovering my wardrobe and shopping less so thank you ### 4/5 — amazing *2020-06-13, version 1.7.33* it’s is a really good app to piece together new i teams of clothing you would like to purchase along with clothes you already have. however i would like if you could have the home screen in sections where the different types of clothing within those sections. other that it’s an amazing really would recommend. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — The app I never knew I needed! *2021-04-14, version 2.2.5* Own-Kind app has helped me keep up with my wardrobe items, even the ones from years ago! It has helped me make better use of my wardrobe investments by giving me easy access to the items I own (without making a mess!) I was also surprised at how personal some of the services are, specifically the styling sessions. The app offers fashion advice from actual stylists for FREE! Perfect for a student like me who wants to stay on a budget. For me what is most useful is the ability to add the new additions to my wardrobe by searching shopable items. The most exciting feature however is the opportunity to find stylists who’s match my desired aesthetic and get expert advice on how to utilise my clothes. One of my favourite parts is the collage making feature, in the next update I’d love to see the option for more creativity in these collages such as different colours and fonts to make them more personal and shareable to social media platforms.
