Too unreliable. ### 2/5 — How not to do error handling *2026-01-19, version 1.99.219* Having a button not reacting to anything instead why is it not reacting to anything - at a not really used place as child sign in/out is not considered a good practice pretty much since the 80s. When signing in a child via pin, there is a signature field. Despite that field the application ask for a signature in the pop up. When my daughter started care it was a tricky start as she was quiet upset leaving her- but the centre would update me with photos and a message each day telling me when she settled and all the fun she was having! Shame I couldn’t get the much needed incentive though. ### 1/5 — Shocking platform for parents and customers alike *2025-07-24, version 1.99.208* It is an incredibly confusing system to use for a parent and also a business, nothing straightforward like traditional systems, I would stick to other platforms great how it lines everything up and has a break down but no understanding of how we get to the broken down amounts, I feel there’s a way for people to miss amounts unless it’s the company we go through that use owna… Definitely better training is needed for parents… I find I was being ripped off and it took an entire term for the company to fix it because they weren’t seeing what I was seeing. App provides seamless, instant, documented, clear communication between Carers and Parents. I have 2 children at 2 different OWNA app using childcare centres (daycare & pre-school). It would be helpful to open the app and view both children’s childcare accounts and see any important updates about each child (eg incidents). At least to be given the option to select either childcare centre upon opening the app. Going to app settings, switching between accounts is cumbersome. I regularly see updates throughout the day such as photos of what my kids are doing and what they’re learning, updates on toileting, meals and sleep times. It gives me the ability to sign them in/out and mark them as absent when I need to without having to call or email the centre along with other functions that are useful. This app makes communication with the centre seamless, quick and reliable. It’s by far the best app I have seen that is used by parents with kids in childcare. ### 5/5 — Great mobile app *2025-09-09, version 1.99.212* The Owna mobile app has excellent usability — I’ve never experienced any delays in loading or navigating, and it feels much smoother than other mobile apps I’ve used in the past. It’s super responsive and clearly designed with care. The only thing I’d suggest is adding a few extra features like the ability to mark favorites or pin important items. As I have a walker it helps to have them already signed and not block the entrance when signing in and out. To get to see my granddaughters in play and being constructive in class is an amazing blessing. We get to view their meals planed and read about their activities during the day. It also informs me of upcoming events and excursions for the girls so I can prepare the girls.
