## What is OwnSafe?

OwnSafe is a secure home for the things you actually carry in your wallet — not a
general password manager, but a focused, beautiful cabinet for your cards and codes.

Keep your payment cards and PINs, ID cards, passports and driver's licenses, loyalty
cards, bank accounts, Wi-Fi codes and short notes in one place, protected by strong
encryption and unlocked with Face ID or Touch ID.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- Your card details are encrypted on your device and stay encrypted when they sync.
- No accounts, no servers, no analytics, no ads — ever.
- The developer cannot see your data, and neither can Apple.
- Works fully offline.

EVERYTHING FROM YOUR WALLET
- Payment cards with PINs, and combination debit/credit cards.
- ID cards, passports and driver's licenses.
- Loyalty cards with scannable barcodes for the checkout.
- Bank accounts — several accounts under one bank, with IBAN checking.
- Wi-Fi credentials and free-form notes.

FAST TO ADD, EASY TO FIND
- Scan payment cards with the camera — everything is read on-device; the photo never leaves.
- Clean, card-styled design that's quick and pleasant to use.
- Search and categories to find any card in seconds.

ACROSS YOUR DEVICES
- iPhone, iPad and Mac, syncing privately through your own iCloud.
- An Apple Watch companion shows the cards you choose — security codes and loyalty
  barcodes right on your wrist.
- Export an encrypted backup whenever you like, and restore it anytime.

OwnSafe is built to protect against the everyday risks to a personal wallet — a lost
or stolen device, casual snooping, an iCloud leak — with the same tier of protection
as trusted password managers.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-30

Face ID, Touch ID and Optic ID — OwnSafe now detects which biometric method your device uses and labels every prompt accordingly. Touch ID devices unlock instantly on return to the foreground without an extra tap, with a light haptic confirmation. All new strings are localized in English and Finnish.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-05

Start where you want. OwnSafe can now open straight to your Favorites instead of the main view, so a starred card is one step closer. You'll find it in Settings ▸ Startup — the option appears once you've starred a card.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-13

- Disabled automatic unlock with FaceID when application is manually locked from main screen

### 1.0.0 — 2026-08-13

No release notes.
