Also, it repeated rings up the firmware updated message.

Connection gets dropped a lot too.

Should be ZERO star review.

The Ox Box looked a great idea, it is really expensive and most of the real features require the application to be able to configure the majority of the features it is sold as having available.  Reality falls way short of that hype, the iPad app simply does NOT work.  It may have on older iPadOS but not with iPadOS 16. Support from UA has been hopeless, they half heartedly sent a few webpage links to things I had already read and have not responded since.  I cannot recommend based on my experience.

So disappointed - was looking forward to using my iPad to control the Rig, as shown in YouTube videos, but the app will not connect to the Ox. I can connect to the Ox Box hotspot to set it up, and I followed the directions on the UA website to debug the wireless. For a company renowned for the software (the plugins) this app is a huge let down and the features are completely useless. The Ox Box itself is great as an attenuator - but the app and connectivity are dismal. It’s been 4 years since an app update, so it looks like we are left with an expensive box w/ no app support.

The lack of a landscape mode really feels like a tremendous oversight (or a corner cut). Please devote the resources to this. My iPad stand only holds the device horizontally, and I can’t let it on top of the substantially sized Ox. It would be materialistically wasteful to buy a stand to accommodate the vertical functionality of one app.

It has also been surprising that I need to reconnect to the Ox whenever I leave the app –– for instance if I switch to another window to look up more information about a setting in the app, without closing the app completely. I’ve found these two fundamental functions lacking, on an otherwise exceptional product. I’m getting the best sounds from my amps I ever have at home (+ two stars for the hardware and configurability), but the app could be much better with basic improvements, which I see requested in other views from several years ago. It’s time to address these.
