It’s a great dictionary. It would be better if I can move the search bar from top to bottom like other web browsers because the search bar is too close to the Dynamic Island. It is very easy to touch the Dynamic Island and pop-up notifications on the top.

I don’t know what’s happening but all of sudden I have to redownload all the dictionaries. Fine, I did it, but then after a few days I have to do it again? A joke that’s not very funny I fear. I doubt it’s my problem because I know some other friends having the same problem. 

 There’s another problem. Why it becomes so rigid that the words that I’ve bookmarked MUST be retrieved with the dictionary I was using when I bookmarked it? For example, if I bookmark a word X when I read about X from Advanced learner’s dictionary (8e), then, strangely, without downloading Advanced learner’s dictionary (8e), I can’t open the bookmark with Advanced learner’s dictionary (9e), even presumably 9e is better than 8e (correct me if I’m wrong). After all these recent crazy changes of the app, I’m really not sure if I’m going continue my subscription after the expiration of the current one. I’ll keep an eye on how the app is going to improve (or not).

I bought OALD 9e which was a stand-alone app years ago. It works fine after it has been migrated to this shell app, though I have to download contents within the shell app. But I just found that this app does not fully support family share. The family member can download this shell app by family sharing but is not able to download the OALD 9e contents. This is too bad. Can you guys fix it?

After the recent update, I no longer use my 8th edition anymore even if I purchased it before at full price. This is because the dictionary will always show no dictionaries when the app is opened, especially in offline situation.

Encountering some minor tech issues as I’ve changed phone and upgraded to the latest vision recently. Thanks to the support team, all problems were resolved immediately, and the app runs so flawlessly that there is nothing I can complain about. I found that many people have no idea there is a “support contact” on the app and leave negative feedback and vitriolic comment merely to vent whenever they have issues using it. Usually, many problems can be seamlessly solved by seeking help and through good communication, and I believe—based on my experience, the support team is always willing to help and responsive to people’s concerns. This app is a must-have for anyone who is learning English in my opinion. First of all, the dictionary per se is without equal; after all, the Oxford dictionary invariably gives me a sort of authoritative and classic feeling that I can't get from other dictionaries. Second, the Chinese vision app is perfect and user-friendly in its layout and function. And finally, of course, there is no such thing as a free lunch, especially since knowledge is priceless. And I think the app's cost is reasonable and unequivocally a good bargain.

Why not release this app in Mainland China? The current OALECD (9th Edition) developed by Shanghai Shangdi is sheer rubbish. It’s an impostor, and a disgrace to the name “Oxford”. Please take its place.

Purchased a only version of this at a ridiculous high price several years ago but definitely worth the money. Best dict.

Not able to find that version of app on my iPhone13, only found this version with subscription. Even more expensive. But, become even better with multiple dictionaries in it. I will pay and keep using it. Keep improving!
