Drawn from the supplementary material originally published in the Oxford Thesaurus of English (OTE) are fascinating lists of imitative, archaic, foreign, and other words. These lists make an invaluable aid to crossword-solving and a fascinating source of encyclopedic information on subjects as diverse as clouds, cocktails, marsupials, and martial arts. 

WordFinder word lists have been fully revised and reorganized with its own quick-reference index and includes topics from clothes and food, to medicine and music, with new lists of foreign words and phrases, archaic words, imitative words, British and American equivalents, and more.

Unusable without a Dictionary or Thesaurus, since it doesn't give you ANY definitions. It's merely a collection of words, grouped into topics, and when one clicks on a word the program asks if you would like to purchase a dictionary. $5 would suggest that there's some meat on the bone, but it isn't.
