This update is shaped directly by feedback from our earliest guests:
1. Voice notes sound natural now - Companions no longer read narrated actions aloud — you'll hear only their spoken words, the way a voice note should sound.
2. Every companion, reimagined - All ten companions have refreshed visual appearances and entirely new photo sets.
Meet Rafael. By popular request: a new companion — a Bogotá-born security consultant with quiet intensity and unwavering loyalty.
3. Richer personalities - Every companion's persona has been rewritten with fuller backstories, better pacing, and the emotional depth romance readers expect.
4. Choose both -  filter the Lounge by Men, Women, or Both with one tap.
Plus: warmer voice pacing on calls, and dramatically faster photo loading throughout.

### 1.06 — 2026-06-23

NEW Version 1.0.6 — What's new in this build:

Email verification now reopens the app. After a *new* user taps the link in their verification email, iOS now intercepts the redirect via Universal Links and returns them directly to the app rather than opening Safari. You can test this by creating a new account and tapping the email link on a physical device.
Simplified onboarding. The sign-up flow has been shortened — location (city/country) questions have been removed entirely. The flow is now: name → age range → what you're looking for → companion gender preference.
Voice read-aloud fixed. The read-aloud feature (powered by Deepgram) was reading AI formatting characters aloud (e.g. asterisks). These are now stripped server-side before synthesis — only spoken dialogue is read aloud.
AI companion improvements. Companion response formatting has been tightened: one physical action description per message maximum, no quoted dialogue. The concierge character has been renamed from Mr Concierge to Mr Oxley.
iOS layout polish. Safe area inset handling, keyboard avoidance, and bottom navigation positioning have been corrected for iPhone models with a home indicator.
