### 1/5 — If you’re running a business you’ll regret using this app.

I should have known opening a business account with an app only banking service that there would be issues. My first couple months using the app wasn’t so bad. Then came the time where I needed to cash a physical check… Oxygen uses a third party service to cash checks called ingo. When I first tried using this feature the camera would not properly launch within the app. I tried everything and nothing could work. I called Oxygen customer service and their response was that this falls on ingo… who said that this falls on Oxygen because it’s their app. I don’t really care whose fault it is but you can’t run a business (big or small) through a bank that has NO WAY for you to cash physical checks. This is only my most recent issue. Another time the app crashed for 24 hours and I couldn’t run patrol because I didn’t know if certain funds had hit my account. Anyways, I’ll be moving on from Oxygen and I won’t be looking back. If you’re desperate Oxygen is an okay last minute bank to hold you off until you can go get a real bank account somewhere more legitimate.

When I first opened an account 3ish years ago it was great. Crazy good cash back, atm fee refunds etc. But slowly over time they’ve reduced benefits more and more. Out of network atm fees are $3 on top of the fee of the atm you’re using, meaning $6+ dollars. I could be mistaken but I don’t remember this being the case when I first opened the account. I was hoping they would give me a onetime refund of $3 after being a customer for 3-4 years but they declined, fair enough it was my fault for not knowing but most “online” banks have atm refund allowances even if it’s once a month considering they don’t actually have any brick and mortar banks. That being said, their network is very large, it’s just the issue of bait and switch. It used come with unreal benefits, so I’m not surprised they had to change, but I can’t help but feel that was their plan. Draw people in, then slowly become like every other bank. They do still have $1 back on any fast food purchases over $3 which is awesome at 33% cash back (for small purchases) Regardless they still stack up to other average banks and then some, additionally I love the virtual card features. But I can’t recommended them endlessly to friends like I used to because I’m not sure what else will eventually change.

I’ve had oxygen Bank for a while now. I started off loving it. The cash back was amazing,l and being able to get support within the app using the chat service was great. Fast forward to December 18th 2022 I misplace my debit card. I didn’t not receive a card until the end of February 2023. I have a personal and business account with Oxygen. Someone my business card in March of 2023 and I reported it instantly. Not only did the agent not order a new card, but they didn’t deactivate the stolen card. They then come back and tell me that there was no error with my card and they are defining my fraudulent transaction claim. Mind you the police report details who card, the name of the person and they also have the individual on camera committing fraud and yet they denied my claim. So not only did they let someone get away with stealing my money they refused to provide me with the evidence they claim to have showing them the transactions were valid. They refused to look into the claim with any type of determination. You call and wait on hold for hours just to get a voicemail stating no is available to take your call. When you do finally get someone they hang the phone calls up and didn’t call back. 

Stay FAR AWAY.

I am writing this in hopes of getting a response from the developer. I am STILL waiting for my physical card. This is an issue that has been going on for almost a month now. The first time I sent off for it, I gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was lost in the mail. The second time however I called. And when I call, I keep getting to the point where it says I am the next person in line and then nothing. I have waited for an hour today and still no answer. I would try the text chat option, but it tells you on the app that you can do that but doesn’t give you a place to do that. So I figured I would try the avenue. I do like the app and was able to pay some of my bills using a temporary card. Which was convenient. But there are some things I have to do with a physical card. Please developers, respond to this. I will gladly retract everything I am saying here and give a glowing review. Because for the most part, the app is great. But I would really like my card please. Thank you.

This is an update: I still have not received my card and was hung up on by “customer service” today. I use sarcastic quotation marks because they are of little service. My advice? Bank elsewhere.

If you want to pay money for a premium account, and then receive zero customer service this is your bank. They not only did nothing about my fraud, and still refuse to. This was after waiting five hours on hold over three days and it said I was next in line to talk to somebody the whole time. They also had two people hang up on me. Then it took three months to get a new debit card and i was told to deal with it, and that they wouldn’t help me with the fraud because I didn’t report it in time. Even though I had reported it three months previous when my card was stolen. I lost 300 to fraud and paid 200 for their account. 500 wasted but they gave me 25$ because they never sent me a water bottle that was promised (a bottle that costs more than 25$). Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.

Since joining oxygen, I have had a positive experience. My card has come on time and I’ve been able to reach customer service. I do like the cash back offers. I wish there were more stores to earn cash back.  
A plus would be to not have to go into the app each time to activate the cash back.
Also, a little annoying feature is if you close the app for a second you have to sign back in each time. It’s probably for security but it’s still annoying.

My transfers and payments go out on time and I’m starting to build more and with oxygen.

I was one day surfing for a new banking app not to thrilled about the grueling process of signing up. And I must add that I’ve had some trouble with my funds being transferred without my authorization. Not sure why or how but with a satisfactory result they the oxygen dispute team saved my day from being a fault to being a success. I was Leary of this we’ll give you five , ten dollar sign on bonuses. Just for sign up which is rare considering todays opportunistic platform Gypsies no disrespect. Oxygen I have to add has given me a feel of sercurity and reassurance from their level of commitment for it patrons they even helped me with a whole nother platform. There a great bunch and I tip my hat and exhale with a smile from satisfying my home kids and wife . I can’t complain and I want but if you need a structure financial help take deep breath nd there you will find the essence of life…oxygen

I have a iPhone and I have been trying to upload my ID pictures, that you require, after applying etc. At first, your app kept showing me a message saying that it wasn’t able to access my camera.(12 tries) I exited the app, closed it completely and then reopened it. Now, I hit the button to go to my camera and take the pictures, and it just goes to a completely blank white screen. I made sure to hit ALLOW when it asked for permission, to use my camera, so it’s not that. I can’t even get into my account, to try to access any help features, let alone find a phone number to call for assistance! I’ve been messing with this half the day now. I’m going to see if there’s another company that I can open up an account with. This company’s advertisements sound promising & I had high hopes for this company but unfortunately they’ve just fell short. 😒

This is for the app itself. But notes about the banking experience: Thus far banking has been fine and the multiple card options is great for security. Cash back program is good. You just have to keep on top of it since each cash back offer is daily and only one at a time. Usually early $30-40 per month. Customer service hours are limited. When I dealt with customer service chat I had about a 20 minute wait and they corrected the issue in about ten minutes. 

Now to the app. I have to open the app at least twice to get my account to load. This is annoying. Every time I open the app and clear FaceID it just keeps “spinning” and never loads. I force close and reopen and it usually works. Occasionally, transactions are reflected in your balance but won’t be in the ledger for a few hours or more. And the app design is meant to be “cool” but I’m guessing I’m getting old as I don’t love the modern fonts.

I’ve had multiple online banking accounts and nothing compares to the standards upheld by Oxygen. It’s even better than Wells Fargo in some ways. I came here to leave a good review and was astonished to see so many people disappointed. I will say, I haven’t had a reason to contact customer service via phone yet. However, I did have a chat with them online and things were resolved rather quickly. I appreciate the upgrades to the newer cards and their capabilities along with the benefits of having them. The benefits are amazing. I also take full advantage of their savings account which allows me to set a goal that is super helpful. I do hope that they are able to acknowledge everyone’s concern. Customer service and consumer acknowledgment is equally as important to me as the benefits of banking with Oxygen. If the customer service is poor, the quality of the service provided might as well be also.

Update: there’s been too many times I was unable to access my own money. And it’s usually because their system is down. If you have big money transactions, this card is probably not for you. It won’t allow you to pull out over $2500 and there’s nothing they can do to increase that. It no longer has the option to see free ATM’s, their customer support is not the worst but it isn’t the best either. If their system shuts down and you don’t have money stored anywhere else, GOOD LUCK. Hopefully you’re not stuck traveling.
