### 4/5 — what does combo mean

*2026-05-05, version 1.1.3*

I like this game, but what is combo? How to achieve more combo?

### 3/5 — Good but…

*2025-10-14, version 1.1.3*

I found this one quite by accident. Interesting concept. A couple things I’ve noticed. First, it is extremely hard on the eyesight! Beware of this as you play. Second thing I noticed is the complete lack of any sort of help file or explanation of how this works or how to improve scores or do anything else that’s been a bit of a frustration

### 3/5 — How to win?

*2025-09-29, version 1.1.3*

Interesting game and I do enjoy playing, but despite having played probably 75 games, I’ve never made it to the score it displays to beat. Maybe I’m playing it wrong as there are no instructions. Usually when I get down to maybe three remaining plays, all of the routes lead back to the center tile, thus ending the game. I’ve even tried holding my finger on the current tile to change it to a hopefully playable tile, but they all lead back to the center tile. As a game, it’s more frustrating than enjoyable.

### 4/5 — How to play / buy vs free?

*2025-08-15, version 1.1.3*

Love the game, except I need to search the Internet to find out how to play. Some instructional videos besides the initial how to place tiles would help.

In the App Store, it doesn’t say what the difference is exactly between the free versus paid version. At least not that I’m saying unless I’m missing something.

### 3/5 — Core gameplay is GREAT! The app needs polish.

*2025-06-10, version 1.1.3*

I love this game and I paid full price for it. It’s really satisfying. But the way the app is built makes it hard for me to enjoy. If I leave the app and try to come back in to keep playing my game I have lost all the progress on that level.

When you finish your level, you get sent all the way back to the main menu and have to go through all the menus and level selection before you can see what your progress on that level is.

This needs more testing and revision.

It would be really nice if you could look at the Level after you finished it and admire your work or share a screenshot of it.

once colors are unlocked, it would be nice if I could pick which ones are included in the random selection, I don’t like all of the colors I’ve unlocked. While you’re at it if you could make it to where you can preview the color before unlocking it, that would be really cool.

With a bit more work this would be app of the week material.

### 4/5 — Bug

*2025-05-26, version 1.1.3*

I got the achievement for 99,999 total points to unlock Quick Mode, but it won’t unlock.

### 5/5 — Love this games

*2025-05-10, version 1.1.3*

I want to say thank you very much for making this game. I’m a student and these days I’m very stressed because of exams and studying, really appreciate this game because it’s so calming ❤️☺️

### 5/5 — Perfect game

*2025-04-22, version 1.1.3*

I like different games for different situations. This one is fun and relaxing, engaging enough to be interesting, but also playable while, for instance, listening to a podcast.

### 5/5 — I’m addicted

*2025-03-28, version 1.1.3*

I absolutely LOVE games like these, and this one is the best I’ve found! I still don’t know how to get some of the unlockables tho

### 5/5 — Surprisingly relaxing

*2025-03-07, version 1.1.3*

I really like this game but would like a chance to view the screen when the puzzle ends. It disappears instantly with no time to “admire” my work. This is a great puzzle, no timers, I love that.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-03-02, version 1.1.3*

Love this game. More please.

### 5/5 — Fun and relaxing, but still challenging!

*2025-02-25, version 1.1.3*

Love this game! Love it so much I paid for the full version, which I never do. It’s entertaining and relaxing, but still makes you think. It’s endlessly playable. I hope more levels get released. My only complaint is that it won’t save a game if you have to stop in the middle. I’d love to be able to continue a round later if life gets in the way of me finishing it.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-02-19, version 1.1.3*

Great game! No ads, smooth, addictive gameplay. Nice graphics and nice music. Can't wait for some more features.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No instructions

*2025-11-04, version 1.1.3*

Tells you how to place tiles but not what the point is. Am I avoiding the glowing thingy in the middle? Am I supposed to reach it? Other reviews complain of this. Bizarre and obvious oversight to not clearly state the objective.

### 1/5 — Zero instructions

*2025-07-22, version 1.1.3*

No idea what the goal of the game is. No tutorial, no instructions. Deleted it.

### 1/5 — Was fun, but now unplayable

*2025-05-28, version 1.1.3*

This game was fun to play at first, until it closed randomly and refuses to open again.. even deleting and reinstalling the app, or restarting my device doesn’t work. Please fix this as I wanted to play this more.

### 1/5 — Struggled to understand

*2025-03-19, version 1.1.3*

I tried and failed. Some/any idea of what to do would be helpful.

### 1/5 — Can’t get it to play

*2025-01-11, version 1.1.3*

How do you get the game to play? I tapped on voids and got a screen with hexes but no indication of what I was trying to accomplish. The instructions were totally unclear. Holding a tile did nothing to it. So I looked for a tutorial or some way to know what the goal was. Then when I tapped voids, or play, nothing happened and I couldn’t get a play screen again.

### 1/5 — What’s the point?

*2024-10-13, version 1.0.13*

I don’t understand the point of the game. There are no instructions and my experience is that you tap the screen (anywhere) and the game plays itself… I’m sure I’m missing something but a quick tutorial would be great.

### 2/5 — Good gameplay ruined by bad execution

*2026-06-28, version 1.1.3*

Very annoying that it loses your progress if you leave the app for too long, especially because the games are pretty long. Also feels like they haven’t ironed out the experience of unlocking levels and moving between them. I see like another reviewer complaining about the same issues a year ago, so I’m not optimistic they’ll be fixed. But the gameplay is satisfying and addictive, for better or for worse.

Much more of a strategy game than a puzzle game.

Also, beware: it doesn’t respect the mute switch on your phone.

### 2/5 — IAP stuck on ‘Wait…’

*2026-05-22, version 1.1.3*

Lovely game but any progress made in demo mode was lost after buying paid version. Also, when restoring purchases on iPad it doesn’t work either so achievements, add ons and progress are lost unless I keep playing only on my phone. I found no way of contacting, aside writing this review. Hopefully issue will be resolved.

### 2/5 — If only!

*2024-08-12, version 1.0.13*

Oh how I wish this wonderful game was free so anyone could play and enjoy it, then I would more than happily give it the five stars it so richly deserves. Until then alas it’s game deleted.

### 3/5 — Love,Love, Love It - BUT……..

*2026-03-16, version 1.1.3*

Absolutely love this game. I played all the time. I think it’s wonderful. The main problem I have with this game is if I have to leave the game to go do something when I come back. I have to start over but not all the time sometimes it’ll bring the game back up, but most times it starts all over. That’s very devastating when you have a really good game going on. Other issues is I can’t take a screenshot of my finished map and I’m doing this on an iPad so I think on the PC you can do all that, but I don’t know if it’s not available on the iPad or what?
Also, I’m totally looking forward to the android version. I tried to do the beta version but I’ve not been accepted yet I think. Right now I’m using my son’s iPad to play it and he really wants his iPad back, I’m sure. LOL

If those issues can be changed then I will definitely rate it 5 stars!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Top quality game, for real

*2026-04-20, version 1.1.3*

I figured this would be a plain, old, cheap, ad-free game to have something to play offline….i was wrong about everything except the ad-free part 😄👍 thankfully hahahah

Smooth and beautiful graphics, simple gameplay with complex pattern making combined with some true ingenuity, fun to play but not hyper addictive like most f2p or p2w games and best of all…unlockables and customizables for those who do well or just keep playing the game enough.

Extremely well done, and as a SUPERB bonus, this game doesn’t milk your personal info at all 🤩 that was the main sell point for me tbh 😝 THANK YOU SO MUCH DEV(s) FOR THIS!!! This means a lot to me and ppl like me, for sure! ❤️❤️❤️ LUVVIT 😍

### 5/5 — A great game

*2026-04-05, version 1.1.3*

I’m a gentleman that does not want to compete or kill/destroy things. I don’t like boring games. Oxytone is endlessly challenging and fun to play all alone.

### 5/5 — This will be a good time to play this game when you’re…..

*2026-03-02, version 1.1.3*

Sad because someone has been mean to you or if you’re stressed because someone was annoying you. Like I was out and about with my cousin and she was mean to me. So I downloaded this game to chill and I was confused when it was tracing these white lines but I just watched it do it anyway. It’s a fun game and it like calms you down if that’s the right way to put it. I don’t think it has adds, because no adds has pulled up when I was playing. Anyways, enjoy!

### 5/5 — Elegant & Soothing

*2025-11-26, version 1.1.3*

My favorite game now! Really allows you to focus without annoying bells and whistles and interruptions that come with so many games now.

Oxytone gives me meditative entertainment and gets the visuals, pacing, and sounds JUST RIGHT.

Thank you for this experience!

### 5/5 — I LOVE IT

*2025-11-16, version 1.1.3*

So underrated and requires a lot of thought

### 5/5 — Hidden Gem

*2025-09-29, version 1.1.3*

Wow what a beautiful game! So relaxing to play, and just seeing all my tiles line up perfectly is the greatest feeling! Deserves much more love than it has right now, and I wanted to make sure to do my part and leave a review!

### 5/5 — LOVE this game!!

*2025-09-18, version 1.1.3*

I downloaded this game on a whim, not realizing it would become one of my favorite games! I love challenging yourself to figure out how to make longer lines. I bought the game and it has multiple challenges so it keeps it exciting. I also find it to be extremely relaxing .. when I’m stressed, I just play a game and I seem to feel more relaxed and able to focus… the more I progress, the more rewarding the game is. I’d give it 10 stars if I could! The only suggestion I have ( or maybe it’s just a request), is to have a way for players to connect to one another- not in the game, but to brainstorm hints/ ideas that have helped them navigate some of the trickier puzzles? I think that would be amazing, because it can be very difficult at times especially when you first start playing!

### 5/5 — By the first try I loved it!

*2025-09-17, version 1.1.3*

I literally just played the first round. It was confusing what I was supposed to do like connect them or what? Then I found it out.. and it was a breeze from there. It is so fun and the sounds make it better.
It was able to clear my mind from everything going on right now in my life.. never felt this way about a game ever.

Hopefully they dont force ads because I definitely will delete it then..

### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-07-25, version 1.1.3*

I love this game. I used to play a desktop game similar to this and always wished it’d had a mobile version. Honestly, this game way exceeds the old one. My only small gripe is that quick mode hasn’t unlocked for me even though I’ve hit the point requirement. Certainly not something that will stop me from playing but it’d be nice to have :) great work - from one software dev to another.

### 5/5 — 11/10

*2025-07-07, version 1.1.3*

1,000,000,000% recommend, it’s a perfect idle game
