I also ask for reviews later but generally these are users who have had the app for a while and already like the app so they only have praises and they are singing to the choir. This positive feedback is appreciated, but it is harder to find the problems with the app that need solving when it’s all praise. Some people will stop using the app in the beginning because they are unsatisfied and it is most important I hear from these people. These are the issues that demand my attention the most. I’d also like to clarify that the review process uses plug-and-play code from the App Store, and it’s not possible for it to be pre-filled with a rating.
