## What is PACE_APP?

Time blindness isn't a discipline problem. It's a visibility problem.

PACE gives you two instruments. Routines handle the next ten minutes. Journeys handle the next ten months. Both do the same thing: they take the arithmetic you can't do in your head and put it on screen, continuously.

ROUTINES — for the parts of the day that keep slipping

Give each task a time limit. Start the routine. PACE tracks you against the plan in real time and tells you whether you're ahead or behind — not at the end, but right now, on the task you're doing.

- Live pace tracking. Every task shows time remaining and whether you're gaining or losing ground.
- Adaptive timing. Started fifteen minutes late? PACE shortens the tasks you've allowed it to shorten, proportionately, so you still make it.
- Arrive targets. Add a destination and PACE folds in live travel time — driving, walking, or biking — then works backwards to the exact minute you should start.
- Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. The countdown lives outside the app. You don't have to unlock your phone to know where you stand.
- Apple Watch. The last seconds of every task buzz your wrist. Advance without touching your phone.

JOURNEYS — for the goals that take months

Twenty minutes a day is invisible until something counts it. Journeys log every session against a long-term goal and show you the total you've actually accumulated.

- Sessions, hours, and milestones tracked automatically.
- Honest progress math: how far along you are, and what this week still owes you.
- Time banked — the hours you put in that you'd never otherwise have noticed.

NEEDS ATTENTION — nothing slips quietly

One list on the home screen surfaces everything drifting. Amber for overdue or behind pace. Gray for gone quiet. Green for on track today. You see it the moment you open the app.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-09-10

Your journeys tell their story now — and your drives run themselves.

• The Micro-journal. Every note you've saved along a journey, replayed on a winding trail: your words in order, milestone stones where you cleared them, and right where you left off. Open it from any journey's insights.

• Travel that knows you left. During an arrival routine, pulling out of the driveway starts the drive step by itself, and reaching your destination ends it — spoken aloud, hands never leaving the wheel.

• Search places by name. Setting a destination no longer needs an address — type "Lincoln Elementary" and pick it from live suggestions.

• Skip smarter. Skip any task, any run — its unused time flows into the tasks you have left (weighted toward the ones you usually run over on), and a swipe back undoes it exactly.

• Your pace on your wrist. Ahead or behind, right on the watch face and Lock Screen — the whole run's verdict, not just the current task.

• Nothing is ever lost. Deleting a routine now archives it — restore it, or view its insights, any time. Even previously deleted routines can be rebuilt from their own run history.

Plus: a sharper journey graph with a pace line to your goal, refreshed journey and routine screens, and dozens of refinements.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-31

• Sturdier iCloud backup--bug fix that prevents stale backups and ensures data is preserved across devices. A new iCloud Backup card in Insights shows exactly when your last backup completed, with a Back Up Now button when you don't want to wait.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-26

PACE now speaks up even when you're not looking at it.

• Voice cues with your phone in your pocket. "Halfway there," the two-minute warning, and "time's up" now speak at the right moment even when PACE is in the background or your screen is locked — over your music or podcast, like a running coach. And if a call interrupts, chime notifications step in so no moment slips past.

• Swipe through tasks. Swipe the task card right to finish and move on, left to reopen the task you just finished — its timer picks up right where it left off. On your watch too, in the same directions, so your thumbs never have to relearn.

• Leave a note for future you. Saving a journey session now asks for one line — where you left off, what's next. Your notes appear alongside your work history, becoming the story of every journey.

• Schedule sessions on your days. Any journey — even a one-time goal — can now expect work on the weekdays you choose, with reminders to match.

• Quieter when it should be, louder when it matters. Reminders that arrive while you're already in PACE show as a gentle in-app card instead of blaring a banner. Snooze any "Needs Attention" item for a day, three, or a week. Alarms now play the PACE chime. And the screen stays awake during a run.

Plus: clearer tips shown one at a time, a cleaner milestone view, and a fix for editing routines with stops.
