But the fact that you have to watch ads to get anything meaningful is a burden. I use it with my friends for my running club and its seamless rewards program allows us to run with no expectations and win cool gifts! I also love how I can use my garmin connect and connect with my apple health to track my miles and activity. It’s simple to use and no strings attached which makes this a great app! ### 5/5 — Cool idea, needs some work *2025-12-26, version 3.8* I like that I can earn rewards for the miles I run. However, I think the app could use some improvements, like a new look/feel and more social features (following friends, liking their activities, etc). There have been some glitches, but the app developers have been expedient in resolving those. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — If I could give it 0 I would *2026-07-23, version 5.4.2* The add never close and it forces you to be in a constant loop - do not get it ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2026-06-30, version 5.3.0* It makes you watch ads to get gold/volt but then you can’t even collect the gold/volt after finishing the ads. The ads just stays on the screen with no way to exit out and when you close the app and re-open it, the reward is not given. Waste of time. ### 1/5 — This app is a scam *2026-06-29, version 5.3.0* The ads required to import workouts are long and frequent, and the payout per run is almost worthless. I ran over 100 miles in one month and still hadn’t earned anything worth my time. ### 1/5 — Very poorly developed *2026-05-14, version 5.3.0* The app is constantly lagging, showing different data after each refresh/restart or just shows zero’s. Based on the previous reviews Apple health sync was an issue for a while and has not been fixed until now. And no, delete the app or reconnect with Health doesn’t work. Tried an option “Contact Us” which leads nowhere!!! it just keeps on asking to enter new email address for Mail app, which is again a very poor development! Don’t waste your time on this app! ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2026-01-11, version 3.9* The concept is cool but the app doesn’t actually work. It doesn’t let you reliably watch ads to get the rewards and when it does it’s so little and insignificant that you’ll most likely never get any real rewards. The conversion rate to earn is near impossible. Waste of time ### 1/5 — Raffles are rigged *2025-12-24* Entered a raffle and the app said I was the only participant in the raffle and had a 100% chance of winning but I ended up losing the raffle to no-one somehow **Developer response:** Hello, this is Paceful Operation Team. We have confirmed that this problem is due to failure in synchronization between our server and the application itself which had some issue in reflecting the actual number of the display of raffle entry counts and winning probability. As a small startup launching our very first version, we regret that we cannot resolve the issue as quickly as it is supposed to be. We completely understand why this felt unfair, and we would like to apologize again. We have finished updating the display algorithm and the data synchronization and it will be reflected soon. We are taking full responsibility for this error and the email has been sent to you regarding the follow-up action steps we have taken. We know trust is everything, especially at this early stage, and we’re truly sorry that we let you down this time. We will make sure to do our best to deliver a better experience. ### 2/5 — Does not work *2026-04-21, version 5.3.0* This is cool but it doesn’t connect or sync with any running apps or watches. It says to sync with Apple health but when you go to settings > apps > paceful and it says to click “health” but that option is not available. I tried to log my run last night via the app but it did not record the run. Maybe I will reinstall later after the bugs are worked out. ### 3/5 — Randomly stops tracking. *2026-08-05, version 5.5.1* Love the idea of the app and it helps me stay motivated. My biggest complaint is the app randomly resets when in my running pack and pauses the tracking. I have to constantly check on the app while running and unpause or I miss miles of running. Ran 6 miles today and the app reset 15 minutes into the run and didn’t track any mileage. They make it super easy to import Apple Watch data so that you can import your runs after the fact. While the earnings rate is a bit low, it is more than you'd get if you didn't have the app! I love the weekly raffles they do, and think that the challenges they post provide the best earning opportunities. Overall a great app, and something to keep on your phone to earn some extra fun money while staying motivated for marathon training 😎 ## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great app for new runners to earn! *2026-07-14, version 5.4.2* I just started to use the app for two weeks and already redeemed a $5 gift card. No complicated crypto stuff, just run and get rewards. I’ve already claimed a couple of gift cards and the process was super fast. It syncs perfectly with my Garmin too. If you want an app that actually pays you to stay fit, this is it. ### 5/5 — Works well *2026-05-07, version 5.3.0* It syncs no problem with Strava and gives points for your running distances. There are challenges to complete for additional points and plenty of reward options.
