## What is PaceLine Labs?

PaceLine Labs is built for swimmers, divers, parents, and coaches who want race timing, dive scoring, and training tools to turn into useful feedback.

Set up a swim in seconds, enter a goal time, and time each split from the pool deck or Apple Watch. PaceLine shows the swimmer against the target pace line so every lap has context, then turns the race into a clear result with final time, split times, split deviation, goal comparison, PR tracking, and shareable race cards.

PaceLine 2.0 also adds dedicated Dive tools, including dive score calculation, judge flip cards, saved dive scores, and athlete progress tracking.

Free mode gives every user a clean race stopwatch and shareable results.

Plus unlocks saved race history, PR tracking, Race Pulse dashboard activity, personal bests, Apple Watch pacing, Video Analysis, Meet Scoring, and saved dive scores.

Pro adds advanced tools for serious swimmers and coaches: AR Camera mode, custom time standards, team and athlete management, imports, exports, and deeper race review.

For athletes:
- Race against goal pace or past PRs
- Track personal bests, dive scores, and progress
- Review splits and pacing after each race
- Share clean result cards with family and teammates

For coaches:
- Time athletes during practice or meets
- Score swim meets and dive cards
- Use video analysis for deck-side review
- Manage teams and athlete profiles
- Create custom standards
- Export race results for SwimCloud or Hy-Tek workflows

For parents:
- Time races from the stands
- Follow improvement over time
- Track swim and dive milestones
- Help athletes understand pacing, splits, and progress

PaceLine Labs keeps timing, progress, diving, video review, and coaching tools together in one clean deck-ready app.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.3 — 2026-09-09

Season Notebooks now save favorites as independent copies, so opening or editing a favorite no longer changes the original practice. Pace-time entry is smoother and follows the digits you type. Notes in parentheses are ignored when calculating practice yardage and duration. This update also improves PaceLine widget support on Mac and keeps the iPhone, Apple Watch, and widget versions synchronized.

### 2.2 — 2026-09-08

Auto Starter is more reliable during long and infinite-mode sessions, with improved voice and buzzer playback. Practice printing has been redesigned for clearer, printer-friendly pages with real PaceLine branding, readable sets, smarter group details, and QR codes that open the practice in PaceLine—or guide new users to the App Store.

### 2.1 — 2026-09-02

LiveLine and AR pacing are more reliable across active timing sessions, with improved screen-awake behavior on iPhone and Apple Watch. Season Notebooks now include handwriting OCR, improved practice parsing and yard totals, one-page share cards when groups match, group-specific cards when they differ, and working scan-to-Favorites QR codes. Practice editing is easier on iPhone with a stable header, more writing space, keyboard-aware group fields, preserved section spacing, and improved group and repeat calculations. Video Analysis now keeps drawing off until annotation mode is enabled and improves video saving. This release also adds notebook sharing, better iPad and Mac layouts, RevenueCat billing improvements, privacy manifests, and reliability fixes.
