## What is Paceriva?

Japanese walking turns your steps into a fat-burning workout with interval walking, alternating fast and slow paces. Boost cardio and lose weight more effectively than regular walking.

Classic Japanese Walking method: walk fast for 3 minutes, then slow for 3 minutes, and repeat this cycle for 5 rounds. It turns ordinary steps into short, purposeful intervals that fit any schedule. Follow fast-then-easy cycles to elevate your daily walk, build stamina, and stay motivated — no gym required.

Paceriva app is an interval timer for walking smarter - it notifies you when to switch between fast and slow pace, making the cardio training easy and distraction-free. It works as a calorie counter and a fitness companion, so you can use this data to manage your weight loss.

Here's what you could expect from these workouts:

Boost Energy – Quick pace surges wake up body and mind.
Boost Cardio – Alternating speeds gently train heart and lungs.
Boost Motivation – Real-time cues keep every session engaging.
Boost Consistency – Short workouts slip into busy calendars.
Boost Weight Loss – Calories burned more efficiently when pace is changing.

### 5/5 — Easy & Effective

*2026-06-07*

Great and easy app to use to burn extra calories!!!

**Developer response:** Thank you for using Paceriva! Happy to hear you enjoy the Japanese Walking method and find it helpful to burn calories and lose weight!

### 5/5 — Super!!!

*2026-05-28*

The app is very convenient and easy to use. You choose your interval and start burning calories :)
The reminders to change pace are very helpful, so you don’t forget when it’s time to switch.
It’s more comfortable to start with a slower pace.

**Developer response:** Thank you very much for your review! You're right, a workout must start with warming up and end with cooling down. We will definitely implement this option in the Paceriva Japanese Walking app.

### 5/5 — Отлично

Спасибо

**Developer response:** Дима, спасибо за ваш отзыв, и что вы выбрали Paceriva для своих прогулок!

### 5/5 — Almost perfect. Needs an Apple Watch app.

*2026-03-24*

I came across this app through a recommendation from Claude when I wasn’t happy with another app I was using. Thank you, AI. Honestly, the only feature missing here is a companion Apple Watch app for times I might not want to bring my iPhone with me, like if I’m just walking around the park across the street. This checks every other box for me though.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the useful suggestion! We will definitely proceed with an Apple Watch companion app, as it will make Japanese Walking trainings more comfortable.

### 5/5 — Makes it easy

*2026-03-23*

Love how after 3 min voice tells you go fast or slow

### 1/5 — No

*2026-01-09*

Sorry, really bad. No options to increase the number of intervals, a weird effect by which you have to keep it open to receive notifications, but then it reduces the sound of any app in the background.

**Developer response:** Hi, we're sorry that the Japanese Walking app didn't meet your expectations. Please give us one more chance - the new version works in the background, so you can listen your favorite music during your workouts, also you can adjust the number and length of intervals.

### 3/5 — Like app, but can’t connect to Apple Health as advertised

*2026-01-07*

I bought the app because of this feature, but it neither shows up in my list of apps or appears connected. This makes it very klugy. I also can’t connect it to my watch. Okay. It is connected, but it doesn’t show in my list of apps, I still can’t get it on my Apple Watch.

### 4/5 — Needs just a little tweaking

*2025-10-29*

This really would be perfect except that the alert for slow walking is almost inaudible. The alert to switch to fast walking is nice and loud. It just needs to be at a consistent level (or adjustable by the user).

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your feedback! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

We tried to reproduce the issue but couldn’t manage to. Could you please clarify which specific sound the problem occurs with? This would help us investigate and fix it more effectively.

Thanks again for your help! 🙏

### 4/5 — When My iPhone Locks

*2025-09-30*

I’m in my 3-day trial. First day, when my iPhone locked, I did not hear the transition beeps and the bird whistle. So I had to hold my phone in my hand for the remaining intervals. The setup and the concept is really great. I like the fact it connects to my iHealth.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback — it’s very important to us! We’re happy to let you know that we’ve updated the app: it now includes voice guidance for interval changes even when the app is locked!
