## What is PaceWise?

PaceWise is a fast, focused running companion for race day and every run in between.

Add upcoming races and count down the days:
• Set one or more target times, and get a pacing plan to run it — even, or a negative split that finishes faster.
• A widget and Home Screen countdown keep race day close.
• Afterwards, log how it went and save a new personal best if you earned one.

See your readiness based on recent PBs, and track your weekly distance:
• Readiness projects your finish from your personal bests, so you know how achievable your target is before race day.
• Weekly distance, best week and run streak — a chart of your running, with a widget to see it on your Home Screen.
• A long-run check flags a run before a jump gets risky.

Use the calculator to plan race day and see what you need to do:
• Solve for the third — tap Time, Distance, or Pace and the rest follows.
• Any distance — 5K, 10K, Half, Marathon, or your own; choose which ones appear and reorder them.
• Splits — cumulative time at every kilometre or mile, including the exact finish.
• Personal Bests — log multiple results per distance and see your progression.
• Kilometres or miles — switch any time; everything converts.

Go deeper when you want to:
• Compare your PBs across distances four ways — Riegel, Cameron, VDOT, and PaceWise's own model, blending all your results into a personalised range.
• Age-graded bests score your personal bests against the world standard for your age and sex, so a 5K at 45 stands next to a 5K at 25.
• Convert treadmill speed to running pace, so the number on the belt matches your run.
• Share or export your splits as an image or a print-ready PDF, ready for race day.

Make it yours: rearrange tabs and Home cards, add a name and photo to your profile, and back up your data to a file whenever you like.

Equivalents and age grades are a guide, not a prediction — a calm read on your form across distances and years, not a promise for race day.

Built as a calm, native utility: Dynamic Type, VoiceOver, light and dark mode. Works offline, with no account and no personal tracking.

### 4.0 — 2026-07-08

PaceWise 4.0 — meet your new Home.

Open PaceWise and you'll land somewhere new: a personal Home that counts down to your next goal race and shows how your week's shaping up — all before you've tapped a thing.

Trends turns your runs into a real picture: your weekly distance over time, your longest effort each week, and a plain-language heads-up when a run jumps further than your recent training has you ready for.

There's a metronome now, too — pick a cadence and run to a steady beat that plays right over your music and keeps going with the screen locked. Plus a quick converter for miles and kilometres.

Make it your own — rearrange your tabs and Home cards, round out your profile with a name and photo, and back up your data to a file whenever you like.

As always, PaceWise works completely offline. No account, no network, no tracking — your data never leaves your phone.

### 3.2 — 2026-06-30

PaceWise 3.2 — a proper home for race day.

Your goals are now Races — a proper home for every race you're working towards. Set the time you're aiming for (or a few), see how ready you are against your personal bests, and follow a pacing plan to get there. Add race day to your calendar with a countdown, and once it's run, log how it went — and save a new personal best if you earned one.

There's a new home-screen widget, too. It counts down to your next race and shows the time you're aiming for, the pace you'll need, and how your form is shaping up — all at a glance.

The calculator is yours to shape now. Choose which distances appear, reorder them, hide the ones you never use, or add your own. And you can show or hide the personal-best and race cards beside your result, to keep things as simple as you like.

As always, PaceWise works completely offline. No account, no network, no tracking — your data never leaves your phone.

### 3.1 — 2026-06-23

PaceWise 3.1 — a fresh look and an easier way to enter your numbers.

We've given PaceWise a fresh new look. Entering a time or pace is easier, too — instead of typing the digits, you spin a dial to land on the number you want.

PaceWise is right at home on iPad now, with a full-screen layout that works whichever way you're holding it.

Your goals got smarter. Race-day readiness now weighs all of your personal bests instead of just one, the countdown shows the time left in clear days, hours and minutes, and a quick tap explains how it's worked out. You can also see your equivalent times the PaceWise way, alongside Riegel, Cameron and VDOT.

Splits now include handy 5K and 10K pace bands (or miles), so your race-day numbers are right there at a glance. And Settings is tidier, with your units, profile and support links easy to find.

As always, PaceWise works completely offline. No account, no network, no tracking — your data never leaves your phone.
