## What is PackageHelper?

Tired of scanning "leftover" Amazon boxes no access?
Need to focus your attention on avoiding animal interference? Don't
want to worry about finding that white SPR full of pills when you're 150
boxes past its delivery point? Assigned a new route and can't find
that one house with a 0.49 mile driveway? You're a mail carrier, not a movie superhero. That's why we made PackageHelper.

Features:

Smart Addressing: Load packages fast with intelligent autocomplete.

GPS and Alerts: See your deliveries on an interactive map, and hear a noise when near a
package destination. PackageHelper can even learn which houses are far
from their mailboxes, which boxes have parcel lockers, and adjust the
map to match.

Navigation: Can't find an address? Tap the "Directions" button to open it in your favorite navigation app.

Toolbox: Package tracking, USPS address search, quick weather overview, and more. It
even has a tool for scanning deliveries when your MDD crashes!

Route Notes: Record vacancies, NMRs, holds, etc. and get reminded when adding a package for one of those addresses.

Dark Theme: Saves battery and your eyes.

Activity Log: Keeps track of when and where you delivered items, just in case.

Podcast Friendly: Independent volume control allows you to adjust package alert loudness without disrupting your listening.

Works Offline: Your delivery list and map are usable without a stable Internet connection (great for rural and highway routes!)

### 2/5 — Stopped working correctly

*2023-03-15*

This worked great for a couple of months. Randomly it started putting address locations on the wrong part of the map. Address names were correct but it seemed like the gps function got messed up. Also had a problem at least once where the map wouldn’t load at all. Kind of pointless if you can’t see streets or the address location is wrong. This could be so good but it seems the developer is just letting it die. Don’t pay for it!

**Developer response:** Hi, I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues. PackageHelper gets address location data from multiple sources, including user feedback. If you contact me directly (contact@netsyms.com) with some specific addresses, I can check what's causing your particular problem.

If you mark a package as delivered but you aren't near the map marker for it, PackageHelper will ask you where you are and use that feedback to add a correction to its online address database. If someone tells PackageHelper they're at an address when they aren't, that can cause problems until you or someone else visit that address again and submit another correction.

PackageHelper also uses the correction feature to learn where mailboxes and parcel lockers are, so when you add a SPR (small package) or letter it'll try to put it at the mailbox. If you add a regular package, it'll prefer showing the location of a parcel locker. For large packages and signature items, PackageHelper always prefers the physical address location.

I'm not letting PackageHelper die; it just hasn't needed any major upgrades or new features lately.

Hope this clears things up!

### 1/5 — Does not work on my iPhone 6splus

*2022-04-02*

Will not scan usps tracking barcodes and will not let me create account because of the Captcha questions no matter how I answer always incorrect error. Either help me get this working or refund my money.

**Developer response:** Hi, USPS doesn't provide third parties address data on tracking barcodes. However, after the first day or two the app will have learned your route well enough that you'll only need to enter the house number and the street will be autofilled for you. This means that adding a package for a four-digit house number will usually require just six taps (1234, tap street suggestion, tap add button). As for your account problem, the app actually works without an account. The account is only used for backing up the automatic route learning the app does, so you don't have to start from scratch on a new phone. That said, I have fixed the issue and account signup works now.

### 5/5 — Great organization tool for your route at your fingertips

*2021-10-07*

RCA for 2.5 years and currently do the same route every day. This app is perfect for keeping forwards and such organized. It’s also perfect for new RCAs to keep track of their parcels.
Some improvements I would like to see is more organization and sorting options. It would be great to add forwards/unable to forwards for addresses and a sorting option for the notes section, as well as an option to move around the order for those notes.
I am currently making a note section for every address on my route to help keep track of changes, but if a new box gets added to the route I would have to edit every entry after that new box, which is pretty tedious.
Hope to see more from this app, and very happy to see it on iOS.
