By no means can you produce construction drawings but for making reasonably accurate prototyping this software can’t be beat. It definitely is a learn as you go, but the commands are so simple that within a very short time you will learn it easily. The $15 upgrade to save & print your drawing is an essential upgrade. Considering the price it’s a steal. Does not alphabetize saved work. Must select a tool for each & every task, the program does not remember the last task or tool used. Sporadically saves files with missing data. Cannot export files to email, THE FREE VERSION ALLOWS YOU TO DO THIS!!!! Have lost several projects which took hours to draft. NO CUSTOMER /TECH SUPPORT Did I say NO TECH SUPPORT?? ### 3/5 — Almost great *2022-02-28* This is the only CAD app I found that would let me create a room with walls at odd angles, to match my household . The reason I wanted the app was to see if a double bed would fit in a room that currently only contains a single. Sadly, this proves to be impossible. The app does include a range of furniture, including a selection of beds, but when placed they appear far too small. There’s no way of resizing them or of seeing the size they currently are. I tried creating a new Symbol at the size I wanted, but then for no apparent reason the control that allow you to scale and rotate objects disappear when placing this symbol. Very frustrating! ### 3/5 — Upgrade did not work! *2022-02-26* I downloaded PadCad Lite and decided to upgrade. The upgrade does not save and export as promised. I can’t download PadCad as then I have to pay again! I contacted support and I hope they resolve this! Cannot see the instructions cause it’s at an un secure website, So it’s a one star at best. Wish I had not paid for it. I do not recommend. If they made the instructions available I might give one or two more stars. I’d rather draw by hand rather than risk restarting an entire drawing because of two yellow lines that mess up the whole thing. Please fix this. ### 1/5 — Not worth the time *2022-06-10* Multiple issues with this: - snapping incorrectly to various items and not able to undue. - unable to select items after placing in drawing - coordinate of object is the center of the object and therefore you have to calculate the endpoints to line items up. - undo and redo works very inconsistently - zooming is only around center of the drawing so if you are closer to the edge of the drawing you have to zoom and then move to get back where you were in the drawing. - inconsistently opening of the detailed window to precisely set orientation and location - and many other items - stay away. Not worth the time. ### 1/5 — Did not even work. *2022-06-02* This launched to a miss scaled screen that filled about half of my iPad screen, and presented barely legible text and icons stating that I should press a non existent icon to start. Then it crashed. I deleted after the third try. ### 1/5 — Frustrating but eventually works sometimes *2022-05-19, version 1.9.11* The app overall is decent, but the touching and adjusting a lot of things is ridiculous as it won’t allow you to. It does something else, moves walls all over the place, then the undo button doesn’t undo that action it made up in the first place. You work on a project for 3 hours and need to save your work and it says you need to pay $15 to save it. Used it one time and deleted it. All my work lost. ### 1/5 — Worst APP *2021-09-20, version 1.9.11* Don’t do it. It crashes every time I use it. Lost hours of work. It doesn’t matter if you save as you go. Poof! Gone. Tool bar disappears randomly. Freezes. You have to select tool every time you lift your finger/pencil off the pad. Saved work doesn’t alphabetize and it is near impossible to scroll through your files because when you lift your finger it brings you right back to the top. So good luck with that. Blue lines just randomly pop up across your work for some reason and you can’t erase it. You have to save, close the app, and reload just to make the lines go away. If I wanted to create an app to screw with people’s heads I couldn’t have done a better job. I put up with this nonsense because I didn’t have time to learn a new app while working. Enough. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Quick Room Drawings *2024-07-08* If you’re trying to layout drawings for basic walls, windows, and doors with measurements it’s great. If you need actual architectural software with a library of textures for commercial documentation this is not the program. I can quickly draw up areas that I markup in photos.
