But it also gives you enough information so that if you seriously curious you have a reference to start your research ### 2/5 — Ehh *2011-03-25* The information is worth about one star alone. It's extremely basic info, and not 100% accurate in some instances. Also, the pictures didn't show up. ### 2/5 — Not a lot of info *2011-01-24* You basically get flashcards on each deity with VERY basic information, which from the cards I looked at, didn't seem particularly accurate. Ceridwen and Brigid are not the same, as it claims. Completely loses all nuances of the deities- very one-dimensional characterizations. Doesn't include Mannanan mac Lir. I keep finding things wrong with the information. You would be better off starting with Wikipedia because this isn’t even a good app to use for reference. Many of the gods lists are not pagan gods but spirits (especially from ATR, Indigenous cultures). “Celtic” is not just one culture or one part of the world. Macha does not mean Crow. Looks like some entries were worked on a lot and others literally did less than the bare minimal. Many gods not even listed at all. Donate the 0.99 to Wikipedia. ### 1/5 — Information about gods are opinionated and not factual *2020-12-29* Poor use of resources and most information is biased pertaining to the gods. ### 1/5 — Want refund *2020-01-23* I didn’t like this app at all is there a way to get a refund? ### 1/5 — For most of us, this app is mis-named. *2019-02-06* If you were looking for pagan deities, beware this is ‘pagan’ only inasmuch as it lists non-christian deities from the usual, familiar groups. Which means for most of us (in the english-speaking world at any rate) this isn’t actually the app we need when we’re looking for something relating to paganism. Yes, strictly speaking anything non-christian is pagan, but the word ‘pagan’ implies somthing much more specific for most english-speaking people, and none of that information is included here. If you want a guide to gods from different cultures (ancient Egyptian, Greek, Chinese etc) then this is a good quick field guide with brief notes. If however, you’re intrested in pagan gods of northern europe, you’ve got a choice between ‘celtic’ and ‘norse’. The same old popular stuff we’ve already read about, in other words. So if you were intrested in wicca or any of the hundreds of deities worshipped in ancient Britain as part of pagan magic rituals, you’d be completely out of luck, as I was. ### 1/5 — No updates to iOS 11 *2017-11-01* Used to be cool, developer never updated so it’s useless now. ### 1/5 — App failed *2016-07-21* I can open my app, but can't search for anything. I question the choice to put Japanese spirits in the listing, as Shinto followers may not consider themselves pagan. Like in the native American "raven" it says what he did but not how and not for what reason. It just says he is greedy... In my opinion this app is lacking. If you need details over a summary, look elsewhere. One of the missing important Egyptian deities this app is missing is the Dwarf God Bet. Bet is the Dwarf God whose theme is "the child is protected". I only know this because I read a book called "the game of 30" which several Pharaohs playedand a complete set was found in King Tut's Pyramid. One of the Gods on the board was Bet so Bet was important enough to get on those boards. ### 3/5 — Pagan deities *2012-03-26* Its not too bad for the beginner starting out and learning some of the deities. However for the more experienced pagan/Wiccan/witch I really think it doesn't show enough deities with enough detail for the average enquirer. Sorry but I would rate it a 3, and Im being generous here.
