Page Composer turns your iPad screen into an electronic canvas. You can draw, write or type on your screen, select photos from your image library or pull in a map. You can also import and mix in pdf and other file types. Screenshots from other apps and websites can also be cropped and included in your page.

With Page Composer, you have all the tools needed to shuffle material around the screen to masterfully compose your page which may be used as content in websites, presentations, emails, technical documents and other publications. Create greeting cards, flyers and brochures. Use Page Composer as a note taker to create detailed notes. Create re-usable forms and then write directly on the form to fill it, sign and email it off. Use Page Composer to mark up photos or  create a photo montage. Page Composer saves your screens to universal .png files which can be used in any application.

1. a drawing and sketching app.
All the essential tools are provided including multiple pen and highlighters with quick change of colors and pen sizes. For detailed clean up, the unique re-sizable eraser allows you to set an offset so that your finger does not obstruct the area being erased.

2. a note-taker.
Use Page Composer as a fully featured electronic note taker in lectures and meeting. Eliminate pen and paper. The write small feature lets you write naturally and the output is automatically re-sized. This allows you to maximize the use of the iPad screen for taking notes. An auto advance lets you write continuously with minimal disruption.

3. an annotator.
With Page Composer you can Import pdf, doc, xls, ppt as well as photos, images and maps using iTunes file sharing or the "open in .." feature available with IOS apps. Once imported, you can scroll or pan to the desired section, paste it on to the screen and annotate or mark it up as necessary.  The original document is not altered.

4. a forms creator and filler.
Use your iPad to take a photo of a form.  Or import a form from a .pdf, .doc or .xls file.  Or create a form from scratch by typing in the form headings.  Then open the form as a background you can then fill (finger write or type) in the form.  Once done you can merge the background form, sign it and send it off via email. Re-use the form. No printing necessary.

5. a media clipping tool.
Use Page Composer to crop screen shots taken from other applications, such as web browsers and news readers. Create a montage from the clippings or maintain a scrapbook.

6. a page make-up/make-over/composition tool
Page Composer provides very easy to use crop, copy, cut, rotate & paste tools. ### 4/5 — Wow!  So many features to create useful exports

Crazy that this app has no reviews!  It's easy to use to create an wide variety of content.  The only learning curve I have is assembling it all into one page - I haven't actually read the instructions yet.

Export as .PNG file is brilliant.  That gives a greater range of uses for the results with a smaller file than . JPEG.  There's much more too.  I create content for education, images for websites, in-class presentations, print outs, notes for sharing, my own files.  Endless possibilities.  The level of detail - infinite - and variety of content input makes this a powerful tool.  Within each content type there are several options to fine tune - dimensions, fonts, line width color etc. - to draw, handwrite, etc.  Simple and responsive drag placement.

I haven't fully used the app as I intend yet, so 4 stars for now.  5 once I've done more stuff.

I use this app to take notes for all my engineering classes and it works great! I like the write thing that lets you write a lot smaller. The only problem I have with this app is the file storage system. I wish there were folders so I could be more organized with the app. 

Overall I really love this app though! :)

This app is very difficult to use, very glitchy, and a waste of time. No way would I every try to use this to effectively take notes.

I am surprised the previous reviews are not available.  Even though there was an update, the interface is not user friendly.  The cut, Paste, copy, and etc. are not used as standard manipulation/procedures.  - not traditional cut, copy and paste steps.

The developer fails to mention this will only allow you to work documents uploaded from ITunes onto IPad. Makes the process cumbersome. Future version should allow access to all docs,on the IPad.

Potential and lots of features but poor execution. Writing engine stinks, which makes the rest of it not worth fussing with.

Magic canvas - two words to sum up this app. You can take notes, draw, annotate, compile media clippings the pain free way but most of all, what it does best is to allow me to create content by pulling text and images from anywhere, cut and change them, all by letting my fingers do the walking. Much faster than moving the mouse around. App works exactly as described. To copy and paste, simply use the select box to select an area, move it and paste, and viola, it's all there in good order. Totally logical, and easy to use. This is really a low-cost app that does high value stuff.
