Updated rating, I understand its not something you can fix. Great app nonetheless! **Developer response:** Unfortunately to provide the service we need to access the Reddit API - the only way for this to happen is with Reddit oAuth. Trust me - ideally there would be no accounts needed at all. But with Pager relying so heavily on Reddit, we have no other choice. One I could not get working - was very complex. The other had a horrible interface but kind of worked. I even paid extra for more features only to be bombarded with notifications I didn’t want. I found this one and within an hour deleted the others. Super easy to use and sends you only the notifications you set up. Works perfectly and has helped immensely. It’s free with no monetization aspects at all—the developer said he is funding it himself (as of mid 2020). Clean UI is a bonus, and the option to select your preferred Reddit client for opening links is the cherry on top. I hope the developer opens this app up for donations before trying to monetize anything, but as of the time of this review this is the best option for this type of app, by a large margin. ### 5/5 — Love it! *2020-11-07, version 1.0.3* Wish I knew about this app sooner. Great job! Edit: this appears to have stopped working in the latest iOS version... 14.2 is it? I still receive notifications from inside the app, but they are not sent as push notifications to my phone. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Never notifies me *2022-12-05, version 1.0.3* Pager has worked in the past, but it no longer works. I have checked multiple times that I have notifications on for it in Settings in iOS, but I never get any notifications. The only way I see something new with the keywords I selected is if I open the Pager app. What’s the point of that when I can go directly to Reddit myself and search for those words? I’m deleting this and would recommend others to not bother downloading it. ### 1/5 — Useless *2022-09-19, version 1.0.3* App has cooldown and delay so its pointless. Dev will say its to prevent server overload. Doesnt matter. Still useless because of that. Notifications take almost ten minutes to notify me. Unfortunately in the last few days, the app has stopped delivering notifications. This app helps me reminds when it comes to the subreddits that I care the most.
