### 3/5 — Awesome… then not so much

*2026-04-24*

I was excited to find this program where I could use linking to turn the music rather than facial gestures because I am a vocalist as well as play. I stumbled across this app in my search and downloaded it onto my phone to try. It worked beautifully. The app description showed it compatible with the iPad- has a screenshot of the fully customizable setting section- so I bought it.
However,
Upon downloading it to my iPad there is no option showing up for winking instead of mouth movement, which is most disappointing because I would be using my iPad for my music rather than my iPhone. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app hoping it was just a glitch but I have yet to find a successful way to find this particular feature- which was the whole reason I bought this app.

### 3/5 — Annotate broken

*2025-02-08*

The annotation feature doesn’t work. I have emailed weeks ago and not heard back. The sensitivity features seem to change and need adjustment regularly. Sad to admit I haven’t been brave enough to use during performance for lack of confidence in the app. I really want it to work. Hopefully I can hear back from the developer soon and get help to make it work.

### 3/5 — I had high hopes…

*2024-10-03*

I really want to like this app, but it doesn’t work consistently. Sometimes it won’t turn pages at all, and other times the pages turn erratically. Also, the app on my iphone can use winks, but that feature isn’t available for the iPad? It works, kind of, and hopefully I can make it work for performances eventually, but right now there are too many bugs for me to trust it. It feels like a waste of $10.

### 3/5 — Crashes on saving annotated pdf

*2024-06-10, version 2.1.2*

Just lost an hour worth of annotations that way. (File was saved in Dropbox.) Great app in principle but not really stable yet.

### 2/5 — No mention It’s just a demo.

*2023-07-23, version 1.3*

It’s OK, but never worth £10 for usable version.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — A good idea but nothing to test

*2025-07-29, version 2.1.2*

The idea of using face recognition to flip pages is a very good one that, but it is difficult to test it fully using the single PDF provided and having no access to other possible gestures. As a singer, i have to open my mouth more than one time every page …
To make your app worth buying, you guys need to unlock a bit more functionalities …

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work (never asks for camera access)

*2023-12-31*

I’ve deleted and re-installed from scratch, still doesn’t work. The app never asks for camera access. I’d buy in a second if the trial would work.

**Developer response:** Apologies for this - v2.1.1 was released yesterday and should resolve this issue.

### 2/5 — Impossible to test the app

*2026-02-18, version 2.2*

To open one single included PDF file is not signifiant enough. We cannot test usage with several files and I would like to know if it is us able with forScore.

### 2/5 — Annotation feature not working

*2025-11-15*

Writing this in the hopes someone can help me. The app is great for page turns but I cannot get the annotation feature to work. Can’t justify buying an app that doesn’t allow marking or notes. I will update this review if I hear back from the developer.

### 2/5 — It’s ok. Could be better

*2024-11-23*

The demo was fine. I thought anyway. I bought it and added my music. It was ok at the beginning but I think I pressed a button and somehow it now shows me two pages now. If I zoom in, it always skips a page when I change pages. The automatic page turning with the mouth sometimes stops working. Then I play around in the app and it starts working again. Not sure what i am doing wrong but it’s very difficult to get it working like it should. I just want one page turning and the mouth to work, but if I press certain buttons it all goes away and I can’t get it to work well again. A little frustrating for the amount this cost. But the editing works fine and I like that feature.

### 2/5 — Preview doesn’t allow you to experience enough

*2024-09-07*

When I show the palette, it’s not allowing me to mark up my scores. Also didn’t have a chance to see how this would work with set lists, as the demo version only allows you to work with one score.

So far very disappointed.

### 2/5 — Great blink-pageturning but awful note taking features

*2024-08-11*

The app has great eye/blink pageturning feature, better than the others I tried. But the file storage and note taking features are awful. If you open a PDF from a website, it won’t save. If you write notes on the PDF (that’s opened from iPad’s Files app, not from webpage) it’ll show saved successfully but if you open the file later, the notes either disappeared or shifted locations themselves, ,miraculously.

### 2/5 — So so

*2023-12-13*

Good concept. Hard to master

Update, my facial gestures, move the cursor back-and-forth, but the pages hardly turned at all. I try the tutorial and the same thing happens. I am running, iOS 17.2 and PageTurn 2.1.

**Developer response:** Hi. From what you describe, it sounds like tweaking the sensitivity and timing settings might help? You can lower the threshold so it turns with a gentler gesture, or increase the speed so it will turn pages quicker. Feel free to email me at coylesoftware@gmail.com if you want to discuss further.

### 2/5 — So so

*2023-12-03*

Good concept. Hard to master

**Developer response:** Hi, v2.1 has just been released and has an improved tutorial which may help!

### 2/5 — Not dependable

*2023-10-08*

When it works, it works well. Unfortunately this is only about 20% of the time. Controls are weak and not dependable. Even practicing music with this app is a chore. Great idea, just not well executed.

**Developer response:** Hi, I'd love to hear more about your setup so I can improve it for you. Feel free to get in touch at coylesoftware@gmail.com

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-05-16, version 3.0*

Great

### 5/5 — Quite Good

*2025-10-22, version 2.2*

Im a beginner in playing piano. The app helps me quite well because I can concentrate on my playing and do not need to struggle with the scores and the keyboard. 10€ is a very fair value for money
Great support by the developer - thanks a lot Stephen!

### 5/5 — I have missed this all my piano life!

*2024-12-18*

I just love this app!

### 5/5 — Works great for me!

*2024-12-02*

Love this app. It has taken practice to keep my mouth still or not turn my head until ready to change pages. 😃 I love being able to continue to the next page without taking my hands off the piano. Thank you!

### 5/5 — PageTurn

*2024-09-07*

A great app for pianists and organists. It took a few months to get used to how to set the sensitivity (how quickly or slowly the pages turn) but I can't live without it now.

### 5/5 — Works good on my 10 inch iPad, not on my 12.9 inch ipad

*2024-04-29*

I did some investigating and found my 12.9 inch ipad is built in 2017 and second generation, you need 3 generation for this to work, I’m going to keep it on my smaller ipad but wish it worked on the bigger one as I use that one when I play in the band at church

### 5/5 — Works

*2022-10-07*

Can’t beat the price $0.00

### 5/5 — Excellent face detection

*2022-09-14*

This app seems to detect my facial gestures better than others. I was hoping it might allow scrolling through a zoomed in page. I want to have a way to play music off my phone in landscape mode where I use gestures to scroll down one section of the zoomed in page at a time. I don’t have an iPad where a full page makes sense. Maybe in a future release!

### 5/5 — Great!

*2022-01-04, version 1.0.4*

Super responsive app with straightforward instructions. Looking forward to putting it into practice!

### 5/5 — Crashes constantly.

*2021-12-09*

UPDATED REVIEW: This is a great app for musicians! I was looking for something that would help me turn pages handsfree, and this one works great. You can use either your mouth or eyes to turn the page, and of course adjust the sensitivity of each. I use my eye by winking. It’s so great that it knows the difference between a blink and a wink. You also can wink your right eye to move forward, and your left one to move backward. I store all of my music in the cloud and then can access everything from there. I was having an issue with the app constantly crashing when I first got it, see previous review below, but after I left the review, Stephen, the developer reached out to me to see what he could do to fix it. We worked together to get it to stop crashing, and he went above and beyond to get it fixed. It works perfectly now, and I couldn’t be happier with it. I plan on using this on my iPad for most of my practicing now, it truly is a wonderful app. I would highly suggest this to all musicians, it’s worth it!! Excellent app when needing to play music and turn pages, but can’t recommend because if you’re in the middle of playing a song it crashes. It doesn’t work to have to reopen the app and try to find your place again in the middle of playing a piece. If they fix the constant “crashing” part, would highly recommend it so far.

**Developer response:** Hi

Sorry to hear the app is crashing for you. Could you email me at info@noli.software with some more information about this so I can look into it?

Thanks.
