### 4/5 — So far good (premium membership)

*2026-06-30*

I like it so far a month in . But how come on a family member’s phone they get a lifetime membership option but I only get monthly or yearly ? And it’s a price that’s cheap too . I’d definitely pay the lifetime
If it was an option (just saying ). Very worth it . And Theres more options that have been added into the area where you can mark where it hurts. So that’s a plus !

**Developer response:** Thank you again for this review. You were right, and it’s fixed: subscribers simply had no way to buy Lifetime, only new users ever saw it. As of version 1.4.0, which is live now, you’ll find “Upgrade to Lifetime” in the app’s Settings. One honest note: Apple does not cancel your existing subscription automatically when you buy Lifetime, so right after the purchase the app takes you straight to the cancel screen so you never pay twice. This option exists because you asked for it. Thank you. Mateusz, developer of Pain Journal

### 4/5 — So far good (premium membership)

*2026-06-02*

I like it so far (6 days in) but I wish that you could out whether meds are am or pm not just daily or as needed (I have to lump the total of each med even if i take some a couple times a day . But overall good, I’m glad I took the chance despite only one other review.

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the chance on us, it genuinely means a lot this early on. You spotted a real gap: tagging a med as just “daily” or “as needed” hides how often and when you actually take it, so a med you take a couple times a day gets lumped into one. Logging doses by time of day is exactly the kind of detail that makes your doctor report more accurate, and it’s now near the top of our list for an upcoming update. If you ever want to add to this, write us at contact@vizaxis.com - we read every message. Really glad it’s helping so far.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.1 — 2026-08-19

What's new in 1.5.1:

• On iPad the setup screens used only the left half of the display. Fixed.
• Prices now appear in your own store's currency format, instead of the app writing its own next to it.

Write to contact@vizaxis.com. We read everything.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-08-11

What's new in 1.5.0:

• The app has been redesigned. New type, a card layout that ranks what actually matters, and one visual language on every screen.
• The pain scale is ten tap targets instead of a drag track. Tap the number. Each one is its own button, so a screen reader can set the level too.
• The free doctor report now draws your body map. The picture your doctor reads first used to be Premium only; it is in the free report now, with the caveat that qualifies it printed on the same page.
• The doctor report was rebuilt page by page: your name on every sheet, a first page that answers the question instead of listing eighteen equal rows, sleep and per-drug frequency wherever your record supports them, and a triggers table that survives a long list.
• Marking a flare is now its own deliberate action, right next to the pain scale. It used to ride along with a form-length setting, so choosing the shorter form could print "Flares" on a doctor's report you never claimed.
• Notes now ask what the pain stopped you doing, which is the one thing the rest of the entry cannot record.
• The colours were measured against the surfaces they sit on. The pain numbers, the calendar's entry dot, the sleep chart and the selected body zone are all readable now: a day logged at 2 used to leave the month view looking empty.

Fixed:

• Two long notes on the same day froze the app, on both tiers.
• The German and Spanish Premium report froze the app while it was being generated.
• iOS reported a backup that iCloud had refused, and a full Drive was reported as a missing sign-in.
• The card asking to turn reminders back on scheduled nothing.
• The consent screen could not be dismissed at large accessibility text sizes.
• Reduce Motion is honoured everywhere now, including screen transitions and the iOS setting the app had been reading from the wrong flag.
• Onboarding scrolls at large text sizes instead of cutting off at the bottom.
• The privacy policy described health data the app had stopped sending.

### 1.4.2 — 2026-07-30

What's new in 1.4.2:

• The doctor report is reachable much sooner. It used to unlock only after seven separate days of logging; it now counts your entries instead.
• When a date range turns up empty, the report screen says why and offers to jump to your last logged week, instead of leaving you with a dead Generate button.
• Insights shows how many days you logged, instead of grading you with a percentage.

Fixed:

• "Log a flare" was deleting the medication you had just added, and throwing away the time you had picked.
• History said "No entries yet" to people who had entries, when the older ones sat outside the free 7-day window.
• The daily reminder repeated one old entry forever. On day 30 it still said "Yesterday you logged level 7". That message is gone.
• The pain scale can be set with a tap, not only a drag, and the app now says so. "Required" no longer runs off screen at large text sizes, and VoiceOver reads an unset level as "Required" instead of "5".
• The report PDF used the same caption for two different numbers on one page.
• Rate, Update and Manage Subscription open the App Store app itself, not a web page inside the app.
• A purchase that went through without unlocking Premium said nothing at all: the store sheet closed and the screen sat there unchanged. The app now tells you what happened.
• "Restore purchases" reported success even when it found nothing to restore, and closed the screen on people who owned nothing.
• The app no longer reaches the internet to draw its own headlines, which could freeze or crash it when offline.

Write to contact@vizaxis.com. We read everything.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-07-20

What's new in 1.4.1:

• The doctor report preview now loads faster: pages appear right away and sharpen in place, instead of leaving you on a blank screen. Sharing and printing always use the full-quality PDF.
• Smaller fixes and polish across onboarding, Insights, and the report.

Write to contact@vizaxis.com. We read everything.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-07-13

What's new in 1.4.0:

• Your doctor report just got more accurate. The body map now records front and back separately: 39 zones across both sides, so pain at the back of the leg no longer shows up on the front.
• The report and the pain map are now colored by how severe your pain is, not just how often you logged it, so a doctor sees intensity at a glance.
• The pain chart no longer draws a line across days without an entry: gaps stay visible and are labeled, so a day you didn't log never looks pain-free.
• Insights now calls out your worst days at the top: how bad, when, and how far above your usual level.
• A clearer summary at the top of the report: your typical pain level for the period, without overstating trends from just a few days.
• Medication use is counted more accurately: every medication you logged is listed, with the days you actually took it.
• Already subscribed? You can now switch to the one-time Lifetime plan from Settings.
