## What is Pain Tracker?

Ever tried explaining to your doctor exactly how that mysterious back pain has been behaving for the past month? ("Well, it was kind of bad on Tuesday... or was that Wednesday?") We've been there too.

Palina transforms your pain tracking experience from tedious guesswork into meaningful insights that actually help you understand what's happening in your body.

Beyond Basic Tracking
Unlike those overly complicated medical apps or the too-simple symptom checkers, Palina finds the sweet spot between detailed and doable:

• Customize your pain scale to match your personal experience
• Map pain locations with precision on our interactive body diagram
• Differentiate between types of pain (the stabbing kind is definitely not the same as the dull ache)
• Track associated symptoms that tend to tag along with your pain
• Log medications and note their actual effectiveness, not just when you took them

And yes, we designed everything to be quick enough to use even when you're in the middle of a flare-up and the last thing you want to do is tap through sixteen screens.

Connect the Dots
The human body is wonderfully complex (and sometimes frustratingly mysterious). Palina helps you uncover the patterns hiding in plain sight:
• Notice how your back pain tends to flare three days after those high-intensity workouts
• Discover connections between certain foods and your discomfort levels
• Understand how stress and emotional factors might be amplifying your pain

Our visualization tools make these connections clear without requiring a degree in data science.
Finally understand why "it just happens randomly" might not be so random after all.

Your Doctor's New Best Friend
Healthcare providers love patients who come prepared (even if they don't always say it). Arrive at your next appointment with:
• Comprehensive pain history reports that fit more than just the last week
• Objective tracking of medication effectiveness over time
• Clear documentation of how treatments are actually working
• Precise information about pain triggers and patterns

Beyond Just Tracking
Living with pain requires more than just documenting it. Palina offers practical tools for the journey:
• Thoughtful reminders that don't feel like your phone is nagging you
• Journal feature that lets you add context to your pain experience

Privacy That Actually Means Something
Your health data is nobody's business but yours:
• Serious encryption that would make security experts nod approvingly
• Complete control over sharing
• Zero third-party data sharing
• Secure cloud backups that ensure you never lose your tracking history

Created By People Who Get It
Our team includes people who live with various pain conditions, alongside input from pain management specialists who understand the clinical side.

We've been on both sides of those frustrating medical appointments where you can't quite explain how your symptoms have been behaving. We've felt the disappointment of trying to track health data in apps that were clearly designed by people who've never experienced a day of chronic pain.
That's why we built Palina to be the app we wish we'd had years ago.

For Anyone Living with Chronic Pain
Whether you're managing:
• Fibromyalgia
• Chronic migraines
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Ankylosing spondylitis
• Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS)
• Endometriosis
• Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
• Chronic fatigue syndrome
• Lupus
• Multiple sclerosis
• Peripheral neuropathy
• Post-herpetic neuralgia
• Degenerative disc disease
• Osteoarthritis
• Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ)

When you're ready to understand your pain patterns better than ever before, we'll be here. Palina - because your pain deserves to be understood, not just endured.

Any insights provided by Palina does not constitute medical advice. Remember to consult your doctor before making any medical decisions.

### 5/5 — App review

*2026-08-17*

Love this app! One of the main features that really stood out to me was journaling because I like to write my thoughts down, or say them out loud, so I can get rid of them. I also did the medication tracker to make sure that the app knew everything going on with my well being

**Developer response:** The journaling feature is one of those tools that works differently for everyone, and it sounds like you found a way to use it that genuinely fits how you process things. Getting thoughts out of your head, whether by writing them down or talking them through, is a solid habit for mental clarity, and pairing that with medication logs gives you a much fuller picture of your day to day wellbeing. That combination of a health journal and adherence tracking is exactly what makes the data useful over time, because you start seeing connections between how you feel and what you are taking. Glad the wellness tracking is pulling its weight for you.

### 1/5 — Not for me

*2026-06-19*

Any app that asks you for a review before you ever try it does not value you.

**Developer response:** Here is the response:

The app is fully usable without leaving a review first; any prompt like that can be skipped during onboarding, and core symptom tracking, pain logging, and medication reminders are all there to explore before you commit to anything. If you give it a real run and it falls short for how you manage your symptoms, reach out to us and we will point you in the right direction.

### 1/5 — Have to pay to use most features

*2026-06-14*

I thought I’d give this a try. It seemed fine, it allowed me to get into the app without immediately making me have to subscribe. However, as I was trying to log today’s pain, it constantly popped up with a subscription thing. 90% of this app is unavailable to you unless you pay for it. So if you’re looking for a decent app to track your pain, this isn’t it, not unless you want to pay weekly, monthly, or yearly for it.

**Developer response:** The pain tracker and core symptom logging stay accessible without a paid plan; the subscription prompt can be closed and isn't required just to log today's pain levels. Premium unlocks the deeper extras like advanced insights and reports, but day to day pain tracking works on the free side. If something blocked you from logging, reach out to us through the app and we will get it sorted.
