Painting Contractor Estimating & Billing Tool is a complete estimating, quotation and bid app for all types of painting & decorating contractors. It can also be used by homeowners to estimate the paint material needed for a project. Based on building and room dimensions the app automatically calculates the material required and calculates labor costs based on four different methods. Industry standard labor estimating methods are available including: flat rate, hourly or bids based on floor square footage or surface/wall area. The whole app is pretty annoying to navigate and it crashes randomly so when you do get info in you might loose it. Thanks, John ### 5/5 — Great *2024-03-20* Awesome app for my business and very easy to use. ### 5/5 — Solid App with outstanding help desk support too! *2022-07-26* There is most definitely a learning curve here for some of the more sophisticated estimating techniques. I watched the movies, tried a few estimates and still had questions so I called the help desk. They were responsive, really understand how the app works and were able to provide a few recommendation on how to best handle what I was trying to do. Now, the app is second nature and really helping me do better estimates and invoices. We use it on several iPhones and iPads now. ### 5/5 — Just Converted to Version 14 - new Cloud Sync works great!. *2021-05-30* This is a good app for tracking calls and doing estimates. It's straighforward and fast. I was able to figure it out, at lease the basics, without a big learning curve. The latest update makes the app better in landscape mode on my iPhone 11 Pro. Very useful to add full descriptions. Also, added the Scheduler InApp to schedule our work. Super! Customer service responds immediately and is very helpful. ### 1/5 — Horrible service, Non functioning app *2020-05-20* Literally just had two years of clients, projects, labor list, materials, All estimates deleted, with the update. The app wouldn’t work, when I tried accessing previous estimates it would just exit out of the app. I’ve tried contacting the customer service number, and email. With zero response. Take in mind I paid for this app. Even now, the app doesn’t work. It won’t let you do estimates, or use the app. It will just exit out when you try. I don’t mind the rough look and feel of apps as long as they can at least do the basics of what they claim they will do. This app is a mess and definitely one to avoid, especially if you have an iPhone X. Even if this app was free it wouldn’t be worth it because of the time you will spend figuring out that it really is that bad. I feel like I should send the developer a bill for my time they wasted. I kept hoping that once things were setup it would get better, but it doesn’t. ******In response to developers response: No help was asked for because my private email complaint had nothing to do with understanding the app. The app is garbage. After spending half a work day pouring through the app, clicking every setting, button, going through help support, etc. to try to produce a half way ok estimate, I was fed up. The app IS NOT FORMATTED correctly for the iPhone X series. The top menu gets jumbled at points and at certain sections you have to force close the app to get out of an un-clickable situation. Trying to say that this is the only app on the market that thousands have downloaded does not mean it works well or is fully functional. Trying to find out why customers are frustrated and fix the bugs you have are the right steps. Responding by inferring that customers with the bad reviews are from those that are incompetent or lazy is bad form. Also, using a customers name in a response on reviews is additionally inconsiderate. **Developer response:** Running Idaho, We always want our clients to be satisfied and happy. Your response was a second email with additional invective and insults... Please note: The App is optimized and approved by Apple for use on all Apple devices including the X series. The look and feel is shown in the six screenshots in the AppStore, including an estimate/invoice example. Our functionality claims are 100% accurate... To our knowledge, our Painting App is the only Painting Pro Business App offered in the AppStore. It includes industry specific functionality only available in our app. The app has been downloaded thousands of times over a five year period. The only unfavorable reviews are from those who choose to write a review rather than get help on how to use the app, or obtain a refund. The latest version really makes this the perfect painting app. Rates can be stored for each estimating method and they can be mixed and matched on individual methods. The new labor and material estimates are perfect for quick jobs.
