### 1/5 — Just spins…..

Took a picture of what we believe is an original sitting of Benjamin Franklin and all it’s done for 10 minutes is just blink the 3 dots….no data coming back whatsoever. The developer makes emoji apps for crying out loud. His AI is stupid

**Developer response:** Hello, thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear that you experienced issues with the Painting Identifier app. In most cases, the problem is related to internet connection or the photo quality. Could you please try again with a clear, well-lit photo?

We also provide a one-time free usage so you can test the results before purchasing. If you’re still not satisfied, you can always request a refund through the App Store and Apple will process it for you.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work!

Took a picture half an hour ago. Still waiting for the results. Just get spinning disk. Useless app.

### 2/5 — Very limited testing options; didn’t tell me anything.

You get one upload to trial this app without subscribing. The AI only gave a generic visual description of my upload, then told me I could provide more context to help it out. Except I couldn’t, because i’d reached my limit on free use. I subscribed, planning to cancel before the 3-day trial ended, but the AI still couldn’t help me even with context. Its revelatory insights were, “This is a drawing of a horse and rider,” and, “The date ‘89 with the signature could be 1889 or 1989.” It concluded that I could compare the signature it couldn’t ID to the million known artist signatures in history (already tried that route). If AI can’t run a comparison on that much data, it’s a laughable idea that I could.
