It would also be great if you could mark a step as done with a swipe rather then a press and hold. Would be nice if you could save how many of a paint you have rather then just if you have it. ### 4/5 — Sweet app! *2021-07-08, version 1.5.4* Saw this being used on Facebook. Legit sick app so far! Can’t wait to see what else I can do with it. ### 4/5 — This is a must for mini painters *2021-03-17, version 1.5.3* The only thing I can critique about this app. Is that it needs an IPad version, a gradient option for shifting color paints, and a place to enter the hex codes for colors for custom entries. Other then that, it’s near perfect and I use it all the time. ### 4/5 — An invaluable tool *2019-09-09, version 1.4.4* It’s an amazing app. Keeps me consistent not only in how I paint but also lets me check exactly how I achieved an effect for use with future projects. Quite invaluable for reminding me what’s been done already when I came back to an army after a few months working on something else. Please, a small update ? ### 4/5 — Awesome app, needs a little more... *2019-06-27, version 1.4.4* This app is awesome for keeping track of large paint jobs. The way you can create materials and then assign them to minis is also fantastic. This app is so close to 5 stars, but it needs a little more, namely: - The order of the minis change every time you open the app and there’s no sorting methods. The ability to alpha sort is important for larger jobs. - The ability to group minis in to folders would really clean up the miniatures section. Considering that many games have clans/tribes/races/etc the ability to place minis in folders would be of great benefit. - I would love to be able to collapse each category in the materials page. That way instead of scrolling through to find what you want you could look for the category you want, tap on it (expanding it), and then look for the material you want. ### 5/5 — Klasse! *2018-12-02* Richtig wertvolle App! Bin gerade dabei, Farb-Schemata für meine SAGA-Armee(n) auszuprobieren - die Dokumentation der Farb-Kombis, die gut funktionieren, ist extrem einfach und komfortabel - und spätere Anpassungen sehr einfach. ### 5/5 — Very useful tool *2018-10-26, version 1.4.2* A fantastic tool for organising and planning your mini painting projects. Each project allows you to store a collection of materials made up of various different stages of painting - each of which can store either a standard paint, or a mix ratio (which can be further broken down into ml of paint used) - along with individual models in that project complete with completion percentage (based upon how far through each material you are). The interface could do with a little bit of work: adding paints can initially be confusing (though it does come with an extensive list of colours from popular manufacturers), and a list of default painting stages would also be useful (base, layer, highlight, shade) rather than you needing to add them yourself. There are also some fields that could do with a little more explanation. Further, it would be nice if you could transfer materials between projects to save you having to input frequently used combinations and approaches. All in all a great app; thanks for the hard work! ### 5/5 — Only one recommendation *2018-10-06, version 1.4.2* This app is fantastic. It really keeps everything you need organized, but I have one recommendation to make. Please add a feature so that you can organize the order of the miniatures in each project. I would like to categorize each type of mini, and right now I cannot find a way to do that. Besides that, 100% fantastic. ### 4/5 — Great app for tracking paint steps, would love a place to share pmmf files *2018-08-09, version 1.4.2* I really enjoy this app. It has most major miniature paint brands you can think of and will help you sketch out and track your paint recipes. Being able to attach images of your projects and track the minis in that project is a neat touch. One thing I’ve been trying to find, but haven’t, is a place to share or download other people’s recipe files. It’s advertised as a function of the app, but I can’t really find anyone online, or a place, that has these files to share or download. It would be great to see a function like that or a community for sharing files. ### 5/5 — Extremely well designed App! *2018-07-24* Thank you for this beautiful app. I hope you get a lot of users. Lost all my projects, colour schemes, everything I spent months building and depending on this app to keep track of. Can’t trust this app anymore. ### 1/5 — Scan funktioniert nicht? *2020-08-08* Hallo, ich habe die App heruntergeladen und bin extrem entäuscht. Bei sechs aktuellen Citadel Farben wurde der Barcode zwar jedesmal exakt erkannt, dann kam jedesmal der Hinweis das die App keine Farbe kennt... Dabei wäre es so klasse, wenn man damit seine 200+ Farben Einscannen könnte! Und dann eine perfekte Datenbank hat die vor Doppel- oder Dreifach Käufen bewahrt. Oder kann die App gar nicht über die Scanfunktion die eigenen Farben erfassen? **Developer response:** Die App hat, unter anderem, genau die Funktion die Sie beschreiben: der Aufbau einer Datenbank Ihres Farbvorrats, per Scan, manueller Download von PaintBay oder selbst definierten Farben. Warum dies in ihrem individuellen Fall nicht funktioniert, sollte man per Support-Anfrage klären. Aktuell sind 4136 (Stand 09.08.2020) Farben in der online Datenbank „PaintBay“ vorhanden und per Scan oder manuellem Download der App hinzufügbar. Wenn Farben fehlen, gerade neue Farben, können in der App, per eMail oder Discord angefragt werden und werden im Normalfall in 2-3 Werktagen hinzugefügt. Optional können Farben vom Benutzer selbst hinzugefügt werden; man ist nicht limitiert auf die vordefinierten Farben der PaintBay-Datenbank. I had high hopes for this app but was disappointed. The basic premise for the app is excellent, but it is so clunky its not worth it. The simple ability to delete anything you create, eg, a project, does not exist. This means that whilst you're getting used to this app, there is no way of clearing up the mess you make whilst learning how to use it. Up till now, I also cannot find a way of listing a paint from the colours I've downloaded against a project either. All I get is a pretty colour wheel, where I have to try and recreate the GW paints I want to use. This app is basically trying too hard to do fancy stuff, when it can't even do the basics. Ja ich hab alle Farben eingescannt von mir aber was dann? es wäre schön sie den Miniaturen zu zufügen und dann auf die Figuren zu tragen oder so. Wozu die Prozent dahinter? Dann muss man alles nur kompliziert dazu fügen sonst funktioniert es nicht. Und irgendwann sieht man einfach nicht mehr durch in der App weil man ständig irgendwelche Sachen benennen soll und irgendwo hin fügen soll aber was bringt das und wo ist das? So dann hab ich Material dazugefügt aber wo steht das? Ich kann nur hoffen da passiert noch was in der App! **Developer response:** Vielen Dank für Dein Feedback! Die App ist sehr offen gestaltet daher ist es vorteilhaft, die individuellen Projekte, Miniaturen, Materialien zu benennen, damit man die Übersicht behält. Leider folgt daraus auch, dass man Materialien einer Miniatur hinzufügt, ein Material besteht aus mehreren Farben/Mischungen usw.. Selbstverständlich wird Dein Feedback in die weitere Entwicklung mit einbezogen! In kurzer Zeit meinen ganzen Bestand via Scans erfasst. Nur wenige Farben musste ich manuell ergänzen Klasse ist auch das Anlegen von Projekten mit eigenen Fotos, Farben usw. Man kann sogar Mischungsverhältnisse angeben und eigene Notizen ergänzen. Auf meinem Iphone finde ich allerdings in der App den Regler nicht, wie ich den Bearbeitungsfortschritt anlege. Ob das (noch) nicht geht oder ich es einfach nicht gefunden habe, weiß ich nicht. ### 5/5 — Just Awesome! *2024-12-31, version 1.6.1* Love this app. I tend to have 3-4 projects on the go at once and having my recipes and combos dialed in here allows me to come back to block of minis or a theme, or just remember a technique I used on a previous project. It forces you to take the time and plan out your project for each part of your painting. Dev suggestion: Instead of using the ‘bookmark’ feature of a painting step to track progress, maybe make a small radio button or a slide step to count that step as done. I want to bookmark a paint step to return to it, not necessarily to track progress. ### 5/5 — You gotta get this app! *2020-04-28, version 1.5.0* I’m not really used to giving reviews so here goes. I think the app is great. Everything from the paints you have access to and the way you can plan out your mini’s paint scheme and select the paint you would need is fantastic. Also the way you can select what’s in your stock and what’s available out there to creating a shopping list for what paints you might need is awesome. If a paint isn’t in your database to request it from PaintBay which is the online database that all the paints are derived from before you download them to your database. All in all this is one of the best apps I have on my phone today. Forgot how what colors you mixed to get your leather like that? What wash did you use on the face? Never again!
