Installed the app on my iPhone 16. Kept telling me the Bluetooth wasn’t on, but it was. After several attempts, I installed the app on my several-years-old iPad. Went through just fine. Both are running the latest IOS version. I’m glad I got it done, but irritated that it didn’t just work on the phone. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work Honda *2025-06-22, version 1.2.4* Safe yourself some frustration and avoid, does not communicate, tried everything ….save yourself. ### 2/5 — Works but it’s very finicky and aggravating! *2025-06-05* It took me about two hours to finally figure out all the quirks of this app. Everything has to be just so for example the connection would fail if my phone was in my car instead of outside it. If you are willing to be patient it’s nice to save the money but if you would like a truly easy, quick, and simple key programming I’d recommend getting a dealer key. I went to school to work on cars and this gave me a headache because of the lack of user support and instructions. Every time you work on a car you can expect some type of delay (to an extent) but this was something else. ### 1/5 — Not communicating *2025-05-29, version 1.2.4* It doesn’t even connect and I try to erase the I in front of the vin number but still doesn’t work ### 1/5 — Keeps charging for uses and doesn’t work *2025-05-22* Had 2 programming uses but it didn’t take it. After entering cc it charged $40 for more programmings without even giving advice of charge. Managed to do one programming after it which was deemed successful. But none of the remote key features worked. Tried to reprogram again only to be asked to purchase more uses. Why it even charges anything before and not after successful programming. This means the app is buggy and unstable. Makes sense that they have not updated in seven months. It took longer to download the app than to program the key. I think it’s a scam!! ### 1/5 — Still need to go to a locksmith *2025-04-07, version 1.2.3* It seems you are limited to the number of keys you can add without going to a locksmith to delete old paired keys. It would have been nice to know about this beforehand!!!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible tech support and useless device. *2026-04-01, version 1.3.6* There was actually zero point to downloading the app and using the obdii device that came with my key. You can program it without all the hassle. When used the device the key would not program. I called tech support and the rep just said send it back, it is a bad key. Well I paid a bunch of money and waited a while to get this key so I just looked up programming on YouTube and it showed doing the same basic process without a device and it worked fine. Pointless app. ### 1/5 — Don’t waists your money *2026-03-30, version 1.3.6* Tech support doesn’t answer or call back. Doubt if it exists. Ignition in off position and hazards on fails to connect everytime and makes me restart. ### 1/5 — Bought this key *2025-11-18* This has to be a scam, paid over 100$ for a programmable key, received the items to make the key work with my car and I can’t even get passed the sign up on the app. It never gets passed the sign up, just says “please wait” and never does anything. I’ll be reporting this company to my bank and getting a refund ### 1/5 — Does not work *2025-10-03, version 1.2.7* Programmed my key exactly as instructed. The app even said successful programming. Car does not detect any transponder. Calls customer service and they did not return my call. Scam product and scam company. ### 1/5 — Simply Didn’t Work *2025-07-12* Kept telling me my Bluetooth was off when it wasn’t. Finally got that to work, then it said the key was paired but it still didn’t work. As others here have said you get what you pay for; no guarantees unless you go through the dealer. I’ll be getting a refund. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Skeptical for no reason *2026-08-17* Ordered the key for a fair price. It was shipped and received in a week. The key programmed and was cut perfectly. Easy instructions. I would buy from Minute Key again. The PairMyKey app was great. Hopefully it will work on other cars if I need it to. My key fob has remote start, tailgate, and lock/unlock features. They all work. ### 5/5 — It’s working *2026-05-20* I was honestly skeptical before trying this app because similar apps usually end up being confusing or don’t work as advertised. But PMK Pair MyKey actually surprised me in a good way. Easy to use, clean interface, and everything worked smoother than expected. Glad I gave it a chance. ### 5/5 — Great *2026-05-20, version 1.3.6* Walked through the programming of the new spare key flawlessly ### 5/5 — Bumpy ride but customer support helped *2026-04-03* I initially had trouble with the programming device. The app couldn’t find it. The reason was that the connection with my car was bad. I saw a blinking light but it was supposed to be a continuous one. Then I called customer support and they helped me. Then there were a few more small issues but they guided me through. In the end I got the message that programming failed, but the key was working and we’re good now. Maybe the app could use some more info. Maybe a video of what I should expect. But customer support was helpful and everything went well. 5* primarily due to customer support ### 5/5 — Excellent Tech Support *2026-03-24* These guys picked up the phone right away and helped with multiple keys. They know their stuff pretty well! The app worked great, just make sure you have full data or wireless connection like it says! Also stay off of Bluetooth connection to other devices. Was able to pair both of them in maybe five minutes max. Beats paying $300 to go to the dealership, and now I’m no longer paranoid about losing my only fob. Excellent! ### 5/5 — It works! Saved me $75! *2025-11-07* I needed to get my key+fob recut/new and programmed due to a massive fob failure. Dealership quoted $350. Lowest auto locksmith quote was $200. I saw the MyKey machine in a local store, saw that they did auto keys with fobs and thought why not - you get a refund if it doesn’t work. So I ordered mine, and it was there within a week. Programming was so simple with the app, and now I have a new, useful key that beeps my alarm and locks my doors, PLUS a spare plain key. Couldn’t be happier. ### 5/5 — Worthless *2025-11-03, version 1.2.7* This is a worthless app and company. They only have support m-f. You call and give them the code and they say do a soft reset which you have to do to get you vehicle to recognize the key pod that works which I did three times. Then they tell you that maybe the key pod is bad. So all I’m saying is tech support is terrible, Tom’s Keys is not good either just save time and don’t do business with either company!!! ### 5/5 — Perfect!! *2025-10-04* My car key was so messed up!! The buttons all fell off and I couldn’t unlock my car only with the actual key part. It took me maybe 30 minutes to program my new key and it works perfect!!
