The deals on the app aren’t the same as on the website, it only shows 1/4 of the deals on the app. I usually need to use the website version so I can see what deals are on that week. Would be so handy if the app was improved to make shopping easier ### 2/5 — Add shop n’ go *2025-06-19, version 4.29.0* Now that you removed the Shop n’ Go as a separate app integrate it to this app ASAP ### 2/5 — Reconsider UX *2025-02-16, version 4.25.0* With all do respect, the App lacks best practices of UX and is not user friendly. A few examples from the top of my head: 1. Can’t add products to the cart in bulk from my Favourite list. If I tick the product for some reason the app moves it to the bottom of the list but doesn’t allow to add it to the cart. 2. Lots of unnecessary additional clicks required to action a simple task. 3. The search bar in my favourite list doesn’t search the list! It useless! Imagine I have 300+ products saved, how do I find them? 4. Edit button is at the bottom of the cart list. Have to scroll all the way down. And so on and so on. All of these is very frustrating. ### 2/5 — Glitching *2024-11-06, version 4.22.0* Usually the app is ok to use- but lately every time I scroll my cart, it glitches & I have to refresh the whole app every 2 minutes to review my items before placing my order. Super hard on the eyes- app might need bug fixes or improvements please. ### 3/5 — Why doesn’t it include the scan & go card? *2024-05-07, version 4.18.0* Great shopping app that is basically a clone of the New World app but it should also include the option to view your scan and go QR code so you don’t have to carry a physical card. They’ve done this for the New World rewards card so why not here too? ### 2/5 — Does not present well on iPad *2024-02-10, version 4.16.0* I use this app on my phone, no trouble. On an iPad however, it is just a bigger version of the iPhone version so it is a tiny thing and has not been adapted for iPad use. Pretty stink. ### 3/5 — Pak N Save Wairau Road / Glenfield *2023-12-12, version 4.15.0* PLEASE ADD THIS LOCATION 🙏🏻 ### 2/5 — Terrible app *2023-11-24, version 4.14.0* As I remove things from my cart, the order of the sections changes. What used to be fruit, canned goods, hot drinks is now ice cream, hot drinks, pasta. This is completely discombobulating. I can’t imagine why this is done or accepted as an ok feature. Also, when I open my cart, the edit button is at the bottom. It should be at the top. I need to scroll all the way through the list to get to the button. I’m deleting the app as it’s nightmare to use. ### 3/5 — Stop removing items that are out of stock *2023-10-08, version 4.11.2* I use the app as a shopping list to add things to during the week. But if an item is subsequently out of stock it removes it from my basket before I can proceed and do anything else on the app. Then I end up forgetting items, and also you don’t even see how many of that item you had on your list. Would be great if it worked like Coubtdown where it just moves the item to the top of the basket and says out of stock. Chances are by the time I go in to the shop or place an online order it’s back in stock. ### 2/5 — Kind of annoyed *2023-09-12, version 4.11.1* My town pack n save doesn’t exist on either the app or online. So annoying ### 2/5 — Not that great *2023-06-21, version 4.8.2* I find the apps search function doesn’t work all that well. Other apps like the countdown app allow you to search by grocery department so is easier to find what you’re looking for. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Used to be good *2026-07-21* It was a great app before but now just won’t open, regardless of what I do. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, updated etc etc. Maybe it’s linked to the Club+ fiasco, I don’t know. It won’t stop loading when I click on it. Even customer service couldn’t help - as suggested by the app developer. **Developer response:** This sounds like an issue for our customer support. If you haven’t already contacted them, you may do so at shoponline@paknsave.co.nz. ### 1/5 — Annoying *2026-05-22, version 5.0.3* What is a club + account and why are you literally forcing me to make one lol ### 1/5 — Worst app design EVER *2026-01-16, version 4.33.0* I literally cannot even open the app, it is that bad. Have been trying for a MONTH, comes up with loading error and will not let me open!!! Have tried downloading, deleting all data etc. To the point where I’ve spent hundreds at other retailers PURELY because this app is constantly down and glitchy. ### 1/5 — Such an annoying app *2025-10-30, version 4.32.0* Frequently get errors and can’t add things to the cart… and if you spend ages adding things only to not be able to check out due to errors it’s a real waste of time ### 1/5 — Shockingly bad app *2025-07-08, version 4.29.0* App is almost unusable to me. Can’t filter by organic items struggle to filter in general. A search for olive oil pulls up salmon canned in olive oil before it pulls up actual bottles of olive oil. What is going on?? Get with it! ### 1/5 — Inconvenient *2024-08-28, version 4.21.0* Have given up using this app and service. Would not recommend unless you’re the only person in your household using it. My partner and I both use the app at the same time on 2 or more devices. The idea is that we can both edit the shopping list throughout the week before we then place the order. The app doesn’t like this and locks me out every single time for security reasons. I get where you’re coming from, but other apps I’ve used don’t seem to have this issue. To be able to simultaneously use the app is important. I don’t want to have to check every time I try to use the app, if my partner has logged out. Or having to call every time I get locked out. At the moment the app is achieving the opposite of what I imagine the service is based on, wasting my time. ### 1/5 — Keep getting locked out. *2023-11-07, version 4.13.0* Be great if I could actually use the app. Simply attempting to sign in gets me locked out for supposed security reasons. ### 1/5 — Same day pick up *2023-08-07, version 4.10.0* There needs to be an option for same day pick up . If there was I would 100% shop here over countdown .
