## What is PAL Defects?

PAL Defects is the tool from Projects Asia Group Company Limited for communication between inspector and contractor for managing and solving the issues in construction sites.

A site inspection usually ends with a note in a book, a photo on someone's phone, and a conversation nobody wrote down. PAL Defects keeps the whole loop — raise, fix, verify, close — in one place, so every defect has an owner, a location, and a record.

THE INSPECTOR
- Raise a defect in a few taps: subject, type of work, and a written description.
- Photograph the problem and mark it directly on the image, so the contractor sees exactly what you mean.
- Record a voice note when typing on site is not practical.
- Pin the exact location on the project keyplan — building, floor, area and room.
- Review rectified work and approve or reject it, with a photo and a reason attached.

THE CONTRACTOR
- See every defect raised against your work, with the original photo, the marked-up image and the location.
- Filter by building, floor and area to clear one zone at a time.
- Submit rectified work with an "after" photo for the inspector to verify.
- Compare before and after side by side.

THE PROJECT TEAM
- A dashboard with total, rectified and remaining defects, and the percentage still outstanding.
- Filter and search the full defect list.
- Every defect carries a reference number, dates and the people involved.

BUILT FOR SITE CONDITIONS
- Works offline. Defects, photos and voice notes are saved on the device and sync when you are back on a connection.
- Choose which keyplan disciplines to download, so the first sync pulls only the drawings you actually need.
- Sign in with Google, or with your email and PIN.

PAL Defects is for construction professionals — inspectors, contractors, project managers and directors.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-07-16

This update fixes crashes and permission problems reported from site, and adds Sign in with Google.

IMPORTANT — YOU WILL BE SIGNED OUT ONCE
After updating, PAL Defects signs you out and clears the local copy of your project data, then rebuilds it from the server when you sign in again. Everything already synced is safe. If you still have defects, photos or voice notes waiting to upload, the app keeps them and will not sign you out until they have been sent.

NEW
- Sign in with Google, or continue with your email and PIN.
- Select Keyplan: choose which disciplines to download on your first sync, instead of pulling every drawing on the project.
- Settings: change your keyplan disciplines later and re-sync, without reinstalling.
- Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are now linked on the sign-in screen.

FIXED
- The camera no longer crashes on devices that have no camera flash.
- Declining camera, microphone or photo access no longer leaves a blank screen. The app now explains what it needs, and offers to open Settings.
- Screen layout corrected across all iPhone sizes: headers no longer sit under the navigation bar, and content is properly centred.
- Profile pictures fall back to a default image instead of a blank space.
- The version shown in the app is now the real installed version.
- Keyplan and sync reliability: correct image caching, no mixed-up drawings, and repaired downloads of large keyplans.
