When I arrived at the Placio Real, the app did not work! I had to pay for the audo tour at the palace and did not use the app. I would like a refund for the app because it did not work. ### 1/5 — Did not work during our visit *2018-05-08* We downloaded this app in preparation for our visit to the Royal Palace and it did not work at all. We opened the app as instructed and tried selecting all the options - language, index, etc - with no luck. The app froze and didn’t allow us to proceed to the next screen at any point We ended up having to get the audio guide anyway! ### 1/5 — Pésimo *2018-03-19* El app se abre, pero en mi teléfono, es inutilizable; no funcionan las opciones, se traba el app... No me sirvió de nada. Y lo peor es que no me di cuenta hasta después de iniciar el tour, cuando ya no pude regresar para rentar un audio guía en la entrada. No hay wifi y la gente son súper odiosa. No te ayudan para nada. ### 1/5 — No wifi at visitor store or information booth *2024-11-26* Pretty sure content will be good once downloaded however if you don’t download before going it’s incredibly slow and doubtful ot will be available before or during your tour. We never experienced this in Barcelona and was surprised this was happening at the Palace. ### 1/5 — Ripoff *2024-09-13, version 2.1.0* Costs 3 euros to use. The app is 44 MB to download, and the shortest tour is over 100 MB to download. The palace itself has no wifi networks, so if you don’t download in advance, be ready to use a ton of data. When using my data, the tour downloaded about 40% and then just stopped. Do not buy this audio guide; spend the extra 2 euros to get the palace’s audio guide and save yourself the headache. ### 1/5 — Very poor app *2024-07-21, version 2.1.0* Constantly crashes on the way around the palace. Almost unusable. Every single time. Don’t bother. Sorry the palace can’t find capable IT people able to fix it. ### 1/5 — Cannot use without paying again *2023-02-15, version 2.1.0* We bought our entrance tickets at the palace and paid to use the audio guide. At the end of the tour the audio guide told us to download the app. But we now find we cannot use the app without paying for the guide again. It appears if we had bought our tickets online we would have been given a code to enter but when you pay in person you are not given the code. ### 1/5 — Won’t work *2022-12-19* Save your money. The reviews are right, the app was frozen for 60% of the time. I eventually just shut it down and walked around without a guide. Better to rent at the palace if it’s important to learn deeper ### 1/5 — Did not play *2019-12-26* I downloaded the app the night before our visit. Once at Palacio Real, the video guides would not play. They do not have wifi at the Palace, which made connecting more difficult. Basically, I lost my money buying this app. Back at home some videos would play without sound. **Developer response:** Dear user, to make the visit it is necessary to download the route within the app, for this we advise you to do it with Wi-Fi connection before the visit and avoid a greater data expense. We really enjoyed this app. It was well worth the 3 Euros each! Using the app let’s you skip the media guide queue which can build up! ### 4/5 — Audio worked only when screen was on *2025-07-30* The audio worked for us in most parts of the tour. However, if your phone screen went dark, the audio stopped, so we had to constantly keep our screen lit up to keep the audio going. Other audio guides on phones did not require this nuance. ### 4/5 — It works - pretty well. Glad I got it. *2019-07-31* I was concerned by the reviews and some people not having it work. But I saw the reviews were pretty old and so I tried it anyway. Glad I did.
