This App was created by a dietitian to help other dietitians and health care providers quickly calculate enteral feedings. This app allows dietitians, dietary professionals, or any other health care professional to easily compare tube feeding formulas. The app calculates the nutrition given based on the formula, the rate the formula is given, and how long the formula is given. Upon entering the rate and hours the formula is given, you can decide which formula would best meet the patient’s needs. You can also use this app to calculate bolus feedings by entering in the volume of a can/carton under the rate and the number of cans/cartons per day under hours/day. This app will calculate all macronutrients and micronutrients for all formulas distributed by Abbott, Nestle, and Kate Farms. You can also select a criterion and enter a goal. The options are calories/day, protein per day, free water/day, carbohydrates/day, and fat/day. Select the formula and number of hours per day the formula will be given. The app will then calculate the rate needed to meet that goal. This app also lists the ingredients, technical data, usage data, formula features, nutritional applications, and precautions. This app should eliminate the need for health care professionals to carry the product guides for tube feeding formulas.
