Write it. Rehearse it. Deliver it. PalmCards is the whole job, not just the cards. Getting the words down, practising them against the clock, and standing up on the day without losing your place. The best man speech, the eulogy, the wedding toast, the big pitch, the lesson, the conference talk. WRITE IT Start from a rough idea and get a first draft to react to, in your own words. Already written it? Paste the whole speech in, or import a Word document, and it comes back as clean cards with cue lines. Templates for the occasion: a wedding toast for the best man or maid of honour, a eulogy, a birthday, a graduation, a retirement, plus sales pitches, lessons and conference talks. Tighten a line that rambles, without rewriting the card around it. Or just ask. Tell the AI what you want changed on a card, in your own words, and it rewrites the cue lines. Undo if you preferred them as they were. REHEARSE IT Run it as often as you like. PalmCards times every card, not just the whole talk. See exactly which section ran long, so you know what to trim before the day. Every run is kept, so you can watch the timing settle. Prepare the Q&A too: Likely questions reads your deck and gives you the questions it invites, hardest first, each one a card with cues for the answer. Wrote the speech in Word? Open PalmCards, tap Import a file on the New deck screen, and a .docx comes back as cards with cue lines. Plain text and your own PalmCards decks and backups still import too. PDFs do not yet, and the app now says so plainly instead of listing file extensions at you. Ask for the change you want. Tighten and Expand were the only two edits the AI could make. Now there is Ask, next to them on any card. Type what you want changed in your own words, "cut the second half", "more formal for a board", "add a line about pausing for the laugh", and the cue lines come back rewritten. Undo is right there if you preferred the old ones. Know what you will be asked. Likely questions reads a finished deck and gives you the questions it invites, hardest first, including the ones the talk quietly avoids. The Lesson Outline template is now third in the list rather than buried sixteenth, which is where teachers were looking for it. ### 1.3.4 — 2026-08-03 Clearer about what advances your cards The Settings row for hands-free advancing is now called Volume-key advance, and it says what it does. It works with your volume buttons, and with clickers that send volume keys. Presenter remotes that send page-up and page-down do not work in PalmCards, and nothing in the app suggests otherwise any more. A Pro benefit we were not telling you about Pro exports a clean PDF with no PalmCards footer. That has been true since the last release and the upgrade screen never mentioned it. It does now. A better lesson plan template Rebuilt with a teacher of thirty years. It opens with a materials and equipment card, puts retrieval practice before new content, and still runs to twelve minutes. Smaller things On an empty card the AI button now says Draft rather than Expand, because that is what it does. Template cards line up in the grid. Clearer wording on the How To screen. ### 1.3.2 — 2026-07-24 Present mode now stays dark on stage, so your screen won't light up your face. A clearer prompt when you reach the Pro features. Plus a few quiet refinements. ### 1.3.1 — 2026-07-23 New in this version: • A friendlier first-run walkthrough that shows you the ropes • A quick "How to use PalmCards" guide you can find any time, in Settings • Clearer wording on the template cards • Fixed a rare case where clearing all data left the app on an empty screen ### 1.3.0 — 2026-07-22 Now a proper iPad app PalmCards fills the iPad screen instead of running in a small phone-sized window. Present mode sets your cards in much larger type, which is what you want when the iPad is propped up and you are reading at arm's length. Split View and Stage Manager are supported. Pacing you can read without looking down Bold pace emphasis now changes what you see, not just what you feel. Drift off your planned time and a soft colour bar runs down both edges of the screen: sage when you have time in hand, amber when it is time to lean in. It sits at the edge of your vision, so you can tell where you are without taking your attention off the room. On pace stays quiet, as it should. New installs get this by default. If you already have PalmCards, switch Pace emphasis to Bold in Settings.
