### 5/5 — Worth the $

*2023-06-22, version 11.0.0*

As an EM resident, I use it all the time. Super helpful!

### 4/5 — Latest update asking to subscribe even when previously owned

*2023-06-06*

Downloaded (from my past purchases) after long to use it again. To my surprise, it asked for subscription at every stage after asking me to sign up first. Even if I try to restore purchases, it is still shows the same thing over and over again. This needs to be fixed.

Update: Sent them an email and they fixed access. Updating review to 4 stars. Still keeping one star as this migration should have been automatic and there might still be affected users.

**Developer response:** We're glad to hear that our team was able to resolve the issue. We're very sorry for the inconvenience caused - it's definitely not the experience we want you to have!

Just a heads up to our users: if you haven't opened palmEM since version 10 was released in December 2022, you might be prompted to subscribe. Please email us at support@palm-er.com if you're affected and we'll make sure you're taken care of.

Thank you for reaching out to us and for updating your review. If you have any further concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're here listening and here to help!

### 5/5 — FIXED: Update without warning… lost notes.

*2023-01-20, version 10.1.0*

I cannot find the note section which the previous version had and it seems I have lost around 4 years of notes. No response from the contact provided for help/questions.

Update 1/2023
They have reached out multiple times over email with helpful solutions and reasonings why this happened. They explained their previous inability to inform/update users regarding the planned update as well as the reasonings for the update and the reason for having to (currently, they may be back!) remove notes.

### 3/5 — Great, but getting out dated

*2021-11-04, version 7.0*

I love this app. But, I cannot rely on the current edition due to out of date ACLS and PALS protocols, among other things.
5 stars in the past. 3 stars now.
Please update this edition.

### 3/5 — No Updates

*2021-08-01, version 7.0*

No update in 3 years just beware

### 4/5 — Feedback

*2021-02-22*

Great app that I use on shift no infrequently. Would appreciate if we could add photos to note function on app. Thanks!

### 1/5 — Subscription?! No thanks

*2026-07-23*

This used to be one of the best apps for emergency medicine. Bought and paid for this app years ago, now they have a subscription fee on top my original payment, which I found out when trying to look up a pressor dose during a resuscitation. Cannot be trusted or counted on any more.

**Developer response:** This review is inaccurate. We have never removed access from anyone who purchased palmEM, and we never will. If you purchased palmEM before our AI-powered clinical reference was introduced, you continue to have full access to everything you originally purchased, no subscription required. In fact, we also include our comprehensive AI clinical reference at no additional cost for original purchasers.

What you're describing happens when the app is signed in with a different email than the Apple ID used to make the original purchase. When they don't match, the app can't recognize your previous purchase and displays the subscription screen instead. The fix takes about a minute: https://palm-er.com/support/docs/palmem/troubleshooting/legacy-user-subscriptions

App Store reviews are anonymous, so we have no way to identify your account or restore your access from a review alone. Please contact us through the app or at support@palm-er.com. We’d appreciate the opportunity to help. We’ll get your access restored right away, and it’s much faster and easier than assuming the worst.

### 1/5 — Unable to open pages

*2025-09-01*

Burn management

**Developer response:** Hi musicmaker,
Sorry to hear you ran into trouble. What you're describing sounds like a local issue rather than a problem with the app itself. Try force-closing the app first, and if that doesn't help, delete and reinstall. If problems continue, email us at support@palm-er.com and we'll get you back on track quickly.

### 1/5 — Unfortunately useless

*2023-07-12*

As a provider I cannot seem to get a single useful thing from this app. I was recommended this app from a podcast. I hate giving negative feedback but just a heads up for others out there. I’m disappointed I spent $20 on it. I wouldn’t recommend it even if it were free.

**Developer response:** Hi Joe, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you didn't find our app useful and that it did not meet your expectations. We understand that the app may not be for everyone, but we'd like to make it right. Could you please provide more details about what you were looking for in the app and what features you found lacking? We appreciate your honest feedback and would like to work towards improving the app for all of our users. We would greatly appreciate you contacting us at support@palm-er.com.

### 1/5 — Migration Failure

*2023-07-09*

I’ve had the same problem with access others noted since the new subscription model rolled out. Contacted support who says their system shows I have full access but I still do not. Hoped this update would fix the problem but it did not. Too bad because this was a great app.

**Developer response:** Dear MabonApModron, we are sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing with accessing the app. We would like to help you get this resolved as soon as possible. Please reach out to our support team at support@palm-er.com and provide any additional information or details about the issue you're experiencing so we can assist you further. ### 1/5 — Only rental license available

*2023-06-06, version 11.0.0*

I downloaded this app years ago for free. Now that I have an account it refuses to verify previous ownership. Instead, it wants a subscription. I have zero subscriptions with IOS because I don’t have money to throw away. This app is now worthless.

### 1/5 — PlamEM

*2023-06-06*

When trying to open content, it request subscription. It was mentioned that this App is free!!!. I subscribed to this App before many years, when it was working very well with iOS 9 till now, in my old iPhone. But in iOS 16 and New iPhone it request to subscribe to make open in my new iPhone with iOS 16.5. I wish that you reactivate my subscription to be able to open contents.
Best regards.

**Developer response:** Our support team has resolved this issue which was due to logging in with an invalid email address.

### 1/5 — Cash Grab

*2023-06-03, version 11.0.0*

The app doesn’t work without an active subscription. Shame on the greedy developers..

### 1/5 — Not useful

*2018-10-08, version 7.0*

I’m an EM doc, and after after having this app on my iPhone for a few years, have never once found what I’m looking for within the app. Unfortunately, I always end up finding my answers from other resources.

### 1/5 — Who writes these reviews?

*2017-03-17*

Someone has done a cut and paste of some web sites or books.

**Developer response:** That's the point. So you don't have to search the web or open a book.

I love how easy it is to find information fast. The developer has truly thought of everything. You can do a search, reference by system, lab values etc... all around one topic, such as, hemorrhage for example. It's the equivalent of have many books with you ! But - easy to find the info

*2023-07-18*

This app is a huge help. Probably my most used medical app other than epocrates. It is even good for off-service rotations and the middle of the night floor calls on medicine. It’s not a comprehensive reference like uptodate, but that’s why it’s so awesome. It’s just the facts jack! I’d like to see the toxidromes added.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to write this review about palmEM, RollLive. We are delighted to hear that it has been a huge help to you and is one of your most used medical apps. We love hearing from our users about how to make palmEM better.
