The issue on the iPad is that when you add a new work flow, it does not provide the pop-up to give it a name and begin. It basically freezes. Have to quit the program on the iPad and can’t be used at all. ### 4/5 — Works well enough but needs updates *2026-03-28, version 1.5.0* Using S5ii camera. Main issue with the app is: body autofocus boxes do not appear in the app. When focusing on faces it’s visible what you’re focusing on, but when the camera doesn’t detect a face and switches to whole body detection, the focus box dissapears in the app. On the lcd screen you can still see who you’re focusing on but not in the app anymore. LUTs seem to work if you select them in camera but can’t select them in the app. Option to increase brightness from the app, or brightness automatically maxing out would be very welcome. Other improvements can be made but all in all it’s really good and reliable enough to use, keeping your rig very lightweight whilst having a much bigger screen to work with and see what you’re actually shooting! ### 2/5 — Horrible *2026-03-17* Just updated the firmware on my GH7 and decided to try this app and on the 1st attempt…it worked great as a wireless (WiFi) monitor. Went to use it again and then I started to run into all kinds of error messages. Only way to get it to work again was to turn off my iPhone and camera and turn both back on again and it was hit and miss. Also…the video display started to stutter. Bin von Sony zu Lumix umgestiegen. Sie Sony Monitor and Control hat immer funktioniert und war zumindest mal brauchbar. Warum geht das hier nicht? Prio-Gründe: angeblich (ja, „angeblich“) funktioniert das App-Zusammenspiel, was man halt so erwartet in 2025/2026 viel besser als bei anderen Herstellern. Leider kann ich das so nicht bestätigen. Zwar hat die Verbindung gefühlt 2x funktioniert nach dem 8 Anlauf, dann aber nie wieder so, dass man damit auch arbeiten. Sie zeigt immer noch eine uralte Firmware (3.1, Stand 10.01.2026) auf die ich „updaten“ kann. Und das selbst nachdem ich händisch (ja händisch…per SD-Karte...über meinen Mac als Zwischenwirt…) bereits wohl wirklich die Version 3.6 aufgespielt habe. Well done Panasonic, well done. Warum man 3 Apps (Sync, Lab, Flow) braucht von denen die Kamera aber scheinbar nur 2 kennt und von denen nur einen Teil der Funktionen … die dann auch noch kommen und gehen wie sie so gerade lustig sind (Beispiel Lab-App: Update-Funktion wieder raus?). Verstehe es wer will. Und das lustigste: Eine Kamera mit Firmware in Version 3.6, die seit x Jahren auf dem Markt ist, hängt sich beim Versuch mit dem Wifi zu verbinden (welches sie ja schon kennen sollte) derartig auf, dass ich sie neu starten muss. Ich schmeiße das Handtuch. ### 2/5 — Problème *2025-12-19* Impossible de connecter mon iPhone 17 pro au Lumix, ni en USB-C comme sur votre tuto YouTube, ni via hdmi + USB-C (carte de capture vidéo). Consider who this app is most useful for, for a moment. It’s not professionals who already have sophisticated rigs, quality monitors, and all of that. It’s probably amateurs or (amateurish professionals) who don’t want to take on the overhead of getting a top of the line monitor. Yes, there are useful updates that this app could have that Panasonic should implement, lut view assist being one, but overall it’s pretty solid. The app is easy to use and there’s not much latency. La sto usando con S5 II e iPhone 15 Pro Max, sia in Wi-Fi che via USB-C: anteprima fluida, controlli reattivi, zero intoppi. L’aggiornamento del 20 ottobre ha reso la S5 II pienamente compatibile con Flow, e si vede: integrazione stabile, funzioni utili in set e un monitor esterno da smartphone che finalmente ha senso. Le poche recensioni negative che vedo (sono davvero poche) mi sembrano legate a corpi vecchi o non supportati, e ci sta. È normale che non tutto il parco LUMIX storico agganci un’app pensata per i workflow più recenti. Plus che fanno la differenza: – Storyboard e shot list integrati: puoi organizzare le inquadrature e poi lavorare in camera senza perdere nulla. Per produzioni strutturate è oro. – Monitor esterno su smartphone con marker, LUT assist e AF frame: davvero comodo anche per i vertical. Serve una buona connessione Wi-Fi, ma anche via cavo la stabilità è ottima. Pretendere compatibilità “magica” con modelli molto datati solo perché hanno la porta USB-C non è realistico: Panasonic sta puntando sui corpi attuali e il risultato si vede. In sintesi: app solida, prezzo basso, e un ecosistema che cresce con aggiornamenti costanti. Per chi gira con S5 II, S5 II X, la installi e lavori.
