My only critique is that players either think they’re better than they are, didn’t actually read the different ratings, or don’t understand levels at all. Being a 6.0 isn’t like, “Oh I’m decent at most skills” it’s, “I’m great at most skills and am exceptional at a position”’as it states at the end of the description for a 6.0 “I compete successfully in strong A/AA divisions” and a lot of people are claiming they are above that? Of course this isn’t really the developers of the app’s fault, but some sort of clarification needs to be made to the users of the app, or some verification system is needed lol. Everything else is great. Event creation is smooth, friend system is simple, there’s a lot of potential, it’s just people need either a reality check or someone to slap them across the face and make sure they understand what weight their rating actually hold because some of these ratings I see people giving themselves is ludicrous.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the thoughtful review! We actually agree. Self-rating is tough and still something we are trying to work out.

We put a lot of effort into making the skill descriptions as clear as possible, but some players will naturally overestimate or underestimate their level. As the app grows, we're looking at ways to make ratings more accurate over time, including potential community feedback and other verification options.

We'll also keep improving the rating descriptions and onboarding to help set clearer expectations. Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback, and we're happy to hear you're enjoying everything else about the app!

### 5/5 — Great idea becomes overdue reality

Folks in the adult volleyball community have often lamented the paucity of single places to keep track of the sport that gave them so much joy. Now along comes a nascent platform to fill that void. Pancake has often been described as the Rum Runners of volleyball platforms: the only place you’ll ever need. I actually find this comparison unfair to Pancake as its future is far brighter. If you are an adult volleyball player who has not yet signed up, you are missing out on exciting opportunities for fun, competition, and networking.
