Also, please make the volume control work. This app has been around for years, but that has never worked. Thank you! ### 4/5 — Working now. Had to make a new account. *2022-03-07, version 7.2* Apparently they dropped my account so I had to make a new one. The iPhone login btw didn’t display this info, it just kept refusing to let me log in. I had to guess what the problem was and got lucky. That’s just poor management IMO for 2 reasons. 1: you should always display helpful warnings such as my username not existing and 2: there isn’t a scenario where it’s ok to drop users unless they’re outright cheating or otherwise abusing the system. As in my case, sometimes people take a break for a year and want to come back. You don’t just drop them… but anyways, the app is usable once again and is the same great online go playing app it’s always been. ### 3/5 — Keeps crashing *2022-01-17, version 7.2* The app keeps crashing on my iPad 4. For years I have thought it was a bad app setting, but just now figured it out. After signing out and then attempting to sign in, it goes straight to the “guest” version of home screen without signing me in. I can’t join games or view my game history. Stuck in guest mode. This app used to be pretty decent, not sure what happened here. ### 3/5 — Nice clean IGS app *2020-06-21, version 6.6.2* It’s a nice clean app. It does have a little bit of a learning curve but so does IGS in general. About the only thing that I could really wish for is if it had support for dark mode. ### 3/5 — Technical problems on the iPhone app. *2019-02-17, version 6.6.1* I having technical problems - at the end of the game, scoring doesn’t work and the game seems to always declare the other person the winner. My game today against Tema2009 is a case in point. I couldn’t score it, then the app crashed when I tried to report the game, then it said that white had resigned (I was black) and then it said that I had resigned. Very annoying. I like being able to use the app but these technical difficulties are annoying. ### 3/5 — Not for beginners *2018-08-17, version 6.5* It’s the game of go. You can play real people and that part is great. However if you are a beginner understand that you will be a huge minority here. All players even the ones with a beginner rating are very very experienced. But if you like to learn by getting crushed. This is a good place for you. A lot of people with a beginner rating or 17k have well over 50,000 games played. The other issue I have is that nobody speaks or at least they don’t answer questions. OGS is a much better place To play go. ### 3/5 — The App cannot stop the iPhone auto-lock *2018-02-09, version 6.4* It's frustrating, after being dropped connection twice, you lose the game. You need to update it, stop ios screen auto-lock while the app is running, just like previous version. ### 4/5 — Great App! *2016-11-06, version 6.1.1* I love it, we can use it to play Go with players around the world is very cool. Now I use a iPad Pro. I created new account and logged in again with same issue. ### 1/5 — Lots of lost games due to disconnect issues. *2024-03-21* The app is very pretty, but if I loose every other game because the app keeps disconnecting, then it doesn’t work for anything. ### 1/5 — Criminally bad app *2024-02-23, version 7.2* I downloaded it to play with a friend, and was met with, Black on black text. Perma zoomed in Go board. Inability to send or receive game invitations. My message to my friends account going to a third party Japanese person who responded to me with hiragana, and my friend never receiving my messages. Did I mention the black on black text? I scrolled through a massive array of names not realizing I was even looking at names, since the black text on black background made it near impossible to see. I haven’t experienced any crashes. The up also works with dark mode now. This is the best app to play in mobile/iPad. It’s really pretty. I’m so glad to be able to play in this app again. Thank you developers. ### 5/5 — Very good online Go client *2017-11-10, version 6.3* I have been playing Go on Pandanet for years. Yes there are some sand baggers, and yes sometimes the app crashes. But in general during games it does what it is supposed to, which is give you a good way to play a game of Go with people all over the world. I like to play on the GoPanda2 client for computer, and this app connects to the same servers. Occasionally my internet crashes, so I get my phone and reload my game and finish it on my phone. I just wish that the connection on wifi was more stable even with full wifi it loses connection with the server and I have lost some very close games because the Internet has dropped out :/ it's always so frustrating when that happens.
