## What is PandaWatch?

Stop walking to the printer room. PandaWatch gives you live cameras, temperatures, filament status, and error alerts for every Bambu Lab printer you own — in one view, from anywhere.
Sign in with your Bambu Lab account, Google, Apple, or Facebook and you're done. No IP addresses, no port forwarding, no setup wizard. One machine or twenty — it all just works.

KEY FEATURES
ZERO-SETUP FLEET MONITORING
Sign in and go. PandaWatch finds your printers automatically via your Bambu Lab account. No network configuration required. Printers across multiple Bambu accounts? Add them all and monitor everything in one dashboard.
NOW ON APPLE WATCH
A native watchOS app puts your fleet on your wrist — status, temperatures, and live progress at a glance.
MULTI-PRINTER LIVE ACTIVITIES (PRO)
The first and only app to put your entire print farm on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island in real time. PandaWatch Pro supports up to 20 printers at once, with layouts for 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20-printer fleets. One-tap access to any camera feed from your lock screen.
SMART AUTO-SORTING
Active printers automatically rise to the top of your dashboard and lists. Your busiest machines are always front and centre.
SIRI & APP INTENTS
Ask Siri which printer has red PLA, which ones are low on filament, or when the next print finishes — without touching your phone. Deep Apple Intelligence integration throughout.
AMS & FILAMENT DETAILS
Tap any AMS slot for full material details: drying time, weight, remaining percentage, and more — pulled directly from the Bambu API. AMS naming follows Bambu's own standard (AMS A, slots A1/A2). Full colour visualization across every unit, with Bambu colour name lookup for official filaments.
FLEET SCOUT
Got eight printers and need the one loaded with red PETG? Fleet Scout filters your fleet by filament colour and material in seconds.
LIVE CAMERA DASHBOARD
View your entire fleet at once with staggered feed loading and battery optimization. Hide overlay text for a cleaner view, or go full screen with tap-to-dismiss UI. A1 and P1 owners can enable Camera Fast Mode for a higher-refresh feed.
ADVANCED DIAGNOSTICS
HMS error codes, temperatures, fan speeds, and real-time layer progress — everything you need to catch problems early. Dismiss any error code per printer or across your whole fleet to keep views clean. Filament errors show the active AMS slot and material. Copy any code, or browse the full Code Explorer database to see how codes map to printer components.
FILE BROWSER
Browse files on your printer's SD card over FTPS. Preview 3MF files and images, play back livestream captures. Supports X1, H2, and P2 series.
HOME SCREEN WIDGETS
iOS and Android widgets update in the background so your home screen always shows current status. The Fleet Health widget gives an at-a-glance overview of your whole fleet. Filter by filament colour, pick which printers appear, and tap to deep-link straight into the app.
IPAD DASHBOARD
A proper desktop-class layout that uses the extra screen space — not a stretched phone view. Leave it running on a shelf as a dedicated monitoring display.
ACCESSIBILITY
VoiceOver support across printer cards, camera feeds, AMS swatches, and progress bars. Transitions respect Reduce Motion.

PRICING
The core app is free — not "free for 3 days" free, but actually free for unlimited printers, forever. Monitor every printer you own: cameras, diagnostics, widgets, Siri, Fleet Scout, AMS details — all of it, no fleet size limit, no cost.
The one paid feature is multi-printer Live Activities on your Lock Screen. Up to two printers is free. PandaWatch Pro unlocks up to 20 active printers on your Lock Screen at once for a one-time $3.99 — no subscription, no expiry. Fleet size stays unlimited either way.

SUPPORTED MODELS
Compatible with the entire Bambu Lab family: X1 Carbon, X1E, P1S, P1P, A1, A1 Mini, H2, P2, and X2D series.
Note: Camera streaming and file browsing need a local network connection. Cloud monitoring works anywhere.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-07-08

New: Sensor & temperature history — PandaWatch now records your printer temperatures and AMS sensor data over time. Gap-aware charts (chamber, nozzle, bed, AMS humidity) are available per-printer and across your whole fleet.

New: A2L printer support.

Improved: LED Auto OFF timing now survives app suspension and background push cycles.

Improved: Major stability pass — rewrote crash-prone paths in MQTT handling, background sync, and app lifecycle transitions.

Improved: Performance — thumbnail and MQTT payload decoding moved to background threads; all file I/O is now async.

Improved: iPadOS 26 split-view, slide-over, and Stage Manager compatibility.

Improved: Apple Watch detail view with more data, cleaner layout, camera snapshot retrieval, and better timeout messaging.

Improved: AMS empty-tray detection now uses firmware state data for greater accuracy.

Fixed: App icon badge could momentarily drop to zero during background sync.

Fixed: Fan speed percentages no longer flicker between adjacent values.

Fixed: Two undocumented "ghost" error codes now suppressed to match Bambu's own apps.

### 1.5 — 2026-06-03

PandaWatch now lives on your wrist. This release brings a native Apple Watch app, new printer support, and a smarter way to handle error codes.

APPLE WATCH APP
Check your fleet from your wrist. The new native watchOS app puts your printers' status, temperatures, and progress right where you can glance at them.

DISMISS ERROR CODES
Tired of seeing the same error? Tap the menu on any error row to dismiss it — per printer or across your entire fleet. Manage and clear your dismissals anytime from the Error Code Explorer: set or clear global dismissals, and remove per-printer dismissals by name.

BAMBU LAB X2D SUPPORT
Full integration for the X2D, including dual nozzle, RTSP camera, active chamber heater, and model-specific HMS error links.

SMARTER ERROR TROUBLESHOOTING
HMS error wiki links now use Bambu's official per-model wiki database for accurate troubleshooting pages, with a fallback for codes not yet listed. The error database has been refreshed with 168 new error codes and 84 new device error definitions. Unknown Bambu codes — ones not in PandaWatch's database — now show an inline note explaining that Bambu's API sometimes reports codes their own apps ignore, with a prompt to dismiss if it's a non-issue.

BETTER BACKGROUND REFRESH
Background wake events (iOS Local & Silent Push for Pro users) now save as many printers as respond to MQTT before iOS shuts us off — so even a timeout gets you some fresh data instead of none. Refresh timing has been tuned to make the most of the budget iOS gives us.

MORE PRINTER DETAIL
Target chamber temperature is now tracked for printers with active chamber heaters (X1E, H2 series, X2D). Ten new print stage descriptions (stages 67–76) cover rotary attachment, purge chute, arc fitting, hotend detection, build plate alignment, and foreign object detection.

FIXES & REFINEMENTS
- Fixed a rare crash and freeze caused by RTSP video stream corruption
- Fan speed percentages no longer flicker between 10% and 20% on every update
- Improved RTSPS video decoding
- Smoother UI: image handling no longer causes foreground stutters
- FTP path handling now strips file:///sdcard/ and ftp:/// prefixes for better cover image retrieval on newer firmware
- HMS error lists from MQTT are no longer re-parsed when unchanged, reducing overhead
- The Camera Widget now de-prioritises printers whose camera is offline or has no valid image yet
- "AMS Heating is using Printer Power" is now classified as Common/Warning, not Error
- Better handling of Bambu API errors during temporary outages
- Further refinement of iPad Split Screen control positioning and left-hand navigation

### 1.4 — 2026-05-08

PandaWatch 1.4 is a big one — two new features, smarter live updates, and a long list of reliability and UI improvements.

NEW: FIRMWARE HUB
A single place to see firmware versions across your entire fleet, spot pending updates, and read Bambu's official release notes and tags without leaving the app. Update notifications now include a deep link to the Bambu Wiki.

NEW: LED CONTROL
Toggle chamber lights manually, or let PandaWatch handle it automatically — on when a print starts, off after a delay you choose once the job finishes.

NEW (PRO): ALWAYS-FRESH BACKGROUND UPDATES
Server-initiated silent push notifications keep Live Activities and widgets up to date even when the app is backgrounded. Dynamic scheduling refreshes every 5 minutes during active prints and drops to 15 minutes when your fleet is idle — fresh data without draining your battery.

NEW: SECONDARY SORT ORDER
With Auto Sort on, printing machines stay at the top. You now choose how everything else is ranked — Alphabetical, Print Time Remaining (Longest), or Print Time Remaining (Shortest).

IMPROVEMENTS
• Error messages now include filament and slot context where available
• More Bambu state codes recognised and labelled across the app
• AMS slots now show distinct RFID Reading, RFID Read, Empty, and Unknown states
• Duplicate errors from Bambu's API (HMS Array + Printer_Error) are now consolidated into a single entry
• Printers in a "Failed" state are now correctly labelled as Failed on the Dashboard, not Error
• Firmware update detection is more accurate — no more phantom "update available" flags
• Preview image refresh detection improved when printing back-to-back plates from the same 3MF
• FTPS reliability for preview and timelapse videos on A1 and P1 series printers significantly improved
• RTSP full-screen video now starts reliably the first time
• iPad layouts make better use of screen space with corrected alignments
• iPadOS window mode no longer hides buttons behind system controls
• Widget UI cleaned up, with better error text on the Fleet Health widget
• Removed the humidity average from widgets (it wasn't meaningful)

BUG FIXES
• Fixed an issue where partial MQTT updates could overwrite AMS active slot data from a full MQTT packet
• Fixed a case where firmware updates could appear available when they weren't

General performance and reliability improvements throughout.

Thanks for using PandaWatch. As always, feedback and bug reports are welcome — they shape every release.
