It uses AI generated speech and also build some weird unnatural conversations, at least for the Japanese option

It’s a great concept of a learning game, but where’s the sound? There’s speaker icons, I click them and there’s nothing coming up? 
My volume is at max.

**Developer response:** Thanks for pointing this out. We fixed the audio issue in version 9.0.6. Please update to the latest version.
