I can’t get into games that are just straight puzzles with no storyline, or too much busy work dealing with the story/narrative and not enough actual gameplay. To be totally honest, I was thrown off at first by the controls and lack of clarity on what I needed to do, so I actually downloaded the trial and deleted it probably 3 times before I finally got into it. Once you get a general idea of the geography and how to navigate it, it’s much easier to enjoy the game. I’d highly suggest turning on the arrows function to help you with navigation. It’s really a very unique and fun approach to a game to show the same geography from different perspectives. There could’ve been just a *touch* more storyline / background—I’m talking like 1 or 2 spots throughout the game to keep the narrative going and give the player some cues as to what the goal is and why. But it’s certainly not necessary because I enjoyed the game and will be downloading the next game from the creator. There were a few bugs here and there. Most notably there was a glitch with getting the wind thing from the puzzle piece near the portal door. I followed a walkthrough to the letter to make sure I wasn’t missing something and still wasn’t getting it, but I closed out and restarted the game twice and it finally worked. The other bug I remember was that if I clicked the back arrow out of the room with the fire instead of clicking the x in the corner, I couldn’t navigate anywhere from the scene outside. So I’d just go back into the room and redo it. They were a bit frustrating, but all in all not deal breakers. I’d rather deal with a bug here and there than a game that has no plot and ads every 2 minutes. Tapping in the map works only sometimes, but most of the time nothing happens. Similar with the notebook. It’s like it doesn’t register the taps. The navigation is also very confusing. These types of games generally have a clear path of where you can go next, here it’s just a matter of tapping randomly and you may go somewhere but you wouldn’t be able to tell from the image. ### 4/5 — Beautiful, but frustrated! *2022-04-18, version 3.2.2* Moving along beautifully until I got to that fish part. That swipe swim feature ain’t working! I even started over thinking it was a glitch. Now I think it won’t work on my new iPhone. I’m stuck and frustrated. The story was unique, along with some of the gameplay elements. During the game you have to (so I don’t spoil anything) Change your perspective. A good amount of gameplay. Interesting puzzles, none too difficult but do require some thought. ### 4/5 — Great game but complicated at times *2021-02-02, version 3.2.2* This is a lovely game with a great plot, however it’s not always obvious what to do or where to go next. I did need some help of a walkthrough which I don’t normally. I also had a little bit of difficulty in getting something to work or picking something up. I was able to get around this by closing the app and opening it again but that can get frustrating for some people. Overall I enjoyed the game. ### 4/5 — Impressive twist on adventure titles, a little clunky to play *2020-12-25, version 3.2.2* I bought this after it went on sale, well worth the investment. The artwork and ambience work effectively to transport you into the world of the game. It really takes off once you are able to transform into the various animals. Even though the photo realism is quite impressive, it often makes it difficult to spot the objects you need to collect as they tend to blend into the scene. Also make sure the arrows option is turned on (why isn't it a default?) as it was hard to figure out how to move around at first. I wish the hint option was more subtle instead of telling you directly what to do. The mapping function is great but maybe it could be activated separately without having to click the inventory first (likewise the book of collected clues). Puzzles are really not that sophisticated but it's more about the overall vibe and story of the game. It reminded me a little of Frankensteins’ monster in that it was incongruous and the story was very disjointed. There are many clever puzzles within it but it seems to me that the story got lost part way through and the ending just arrived by coincidence. It is good value for money but perhaps a little more time and concentration with the programming to give a better coordinated story might warrant a slightly higher selling price. ### 4/5 — Not easy gameplay on iPad *2020-10-14, version 3.2.2* The idea and the concept of different animal is quite funny. Viele Hinweise und Gegenstände sind überhaupt nicht zu erkennen und dann kommt man nicht mehr weiter. Habe sehr viele Tipps gebraucht und das macht dann auch keinen Spaß mehr. ### 1/5 — Bugged and Hard to Play *2022-05-10, version 3.3* I almost stopped playing the game after 5 minutes, until I switched on the setting to have the directional arrows on. Why is that not on by default? Without them, you spend needless amount of time trying to tap on objects to see if they are interactable, and end up switching screens instead, to the point where it’s unplayable because everything seems to switch the screen to the next area. After switching those on, I encountered one glitch two separate times that forced me to reset the entire game. This glitch would cause an item I had just interacted with or picked up, to disappear completely. They did not go into my inventory, they did not return to the location where you first picked them up, and they did not fall where you can pick them up in the location I had interacted with them. This first happened with the gears, and since I was only about a third of the way through the game, I restarted. It then happened again with the amulet at the literal end of the game. It is not an interesting enough game for me to play through it a third time, to maybe get stuck again on a stupid glitch. It’s a pretty game, and I wanted to like it as I really enjoy point and click games. But there’s almost no story and many of the puzzles are not clear enough for the player to intuitively know where to go next. No story really and disjointed. ### 1/5 — Ridiculously small on iPhone 6 *2019-11-06, version 3.2.0* I’ve played loads of this type of adventure game from various developers. Fire maple being head and shoulders above. But they all are playable and enjoyable. Except this one and I’ll explain why. Unless you have a large screen with a plus series iPhone, or even better an iPad it’s stupidly hard to find an object on the screen. It’s literally turning into a spot the difference trying to find the tiniest minuscule item. Honestly I can stare at the screen for five minutes and not see anything and notice a few blue pixels which turns out to be an item. I’ve been I help several times already and actually laughed when it’s told me to pick up an item on a screen to continue. It’s simply not enjoyable at all. Give me boxes or arrows to move areas on purpose. Travel complaints aside, some of the item uses are very poorly thought out. Wish I enjoyed this more. ### 1/5 — The worst HOS game I have played *2019-01-14, version 3.2.0* Terrible hidden object game. No logic to the puzzles, SPOILER ALERT at one point you have to put some berries on some cat paw prints, makes no sense. END OD SPOILER. I had to use the hint a lot, which I hate doing. The navigation is a constant backwards and forwards through different scenes, as different characters, with no option to jump to a scene from the map. Some of the hidden objects are well hidden and virtually impossible to find without using the hint.
