When I click the link I’m not taken to an update page but a review instead. So here’s my review. The update message is either intentionally or unintentionally misleading. So which is worse, the Pantagraph and/or the app designers are deliberately deceiving the app users or they aren’t competent enough to fix the problem? ### 2/5 — Wesleyan *2026-03-23* I subscribed to the Pantagraph in order to follow Illinois Wesleyan university athletic events. Your coverage of your local small university is very sparse. Your coverage of Illinois State University is very good although I have two children that are graduates at ISU. I now have a granddaughter who is involved at Illinois Wesleyan. Your coverage is almost nonexistent. I go through your E addition every day, especially after games and sometimes there’s not even a score listed very disappointed with your coverage. ### 5/5 — Good local news. *2026-03-20* Good local news ### 1/5 — Repetitive Stories *2026-03-20* High number of articles are repetitive from one day to another. It’s unreadable and not worth paying for and the prices are ridiculous not to mention that a lot of the news is slanted. Can’t we do better than this BloNo? **Developer response:** We will continue to offer the lowest rate possible to all of our subscribers, but with our digital content you can stay informed from any web-enabled device, and can go anywhere without having to take a physical copy along. ### 1/5 — Crooks !! *2024-09-05, version 9.13.2* I had previously signed up for 6 months for $1. I then tried to cancel at 5 and half months because I will not pay $16.99/month. They then offered $4.99 and I accepted and started deducting from my card on 26th of every month. With no notice they deducted $16.99 on the 20th of Aug. After a long conversation they said they would return it to $4.99 and credit my account over next several months. Low and behold I get another $16.99 notice and just give up and cancel effective Sept 1. They then charged my account another $16.99 on Sept 3. Impossible to get anyone to talk to on phone that doesn’t try to renew instead of addressing problem.
