Useful but definitely not a pro app for the iPad. ### 4/5 — nice but also not *2024-08-10* this app is so good for needing to be inspired with colors,but i have noticed that when i take a picture of somthing it tints it a little bit making the colors darker, this causes the colors to be in accurate. Also ok the home screen of the page in the app is always rna same color, but i do live this app also because it’s totally free ❤️👍 have a good day everyone. ### 4/5 — Great app, but not updated *2024-06-21* For some reason, no matter what I do, the app still shows the color of the year for 2020. Nothing current. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong or whether it’s an internal error. I reinstalled it, “reset it” and more, but it still has that blue for the Pantone color of the year 2020 listed as the “current” color. I absolutely adore Pantone and this is frustrating. ### 3/5 — Poor colour matching *2024-05-25, version 3.0.32* The app worked fine for me but i took pictures of my actual pantone booklet and the apps matches were wildly off, rendering this app pointless. Why should Iran be sanctioned? What have Iranian designers done that you won’t allow them to use the software? It’s your problem with the Islamic Republic, so why are you punishing Iranian designers? This action has no humanitarian justification whatsoever — it’s pure discrimination and racism! I’m truly sorry for such an action… ### 1/5 — Change accounts? *2025-05-14, version 3.0.38* I have a paid Pantone Connect account registered to my work email. I cannot register or log in to this product with that email. I’ve installed this on my iPad, which uses my Apple ID in the App Store, not my work email. And it is not shade or two off— it is an entire different color. ### 1/5 — It won’t even open *2024-10-01* I got the app to help me with an art project, looking forward to taking a shortcut to getting colour schemes for my reference photos. When I got it and opened it, it did the introduction thing, but then it just stayed on the dark blue loading page with the Pantone logo and the words, “hmmm, this is taking a bit longer than expected”. I reconnected to the wifi, deleted it and reinstalled it, to make sure that it wasn’t just something my phone was doing. I kept the tab open for twenty minutes just watching the loading screen, and left it to figure itself out. Not every freelance designer can afford the full set of printed color samples or maintain a pricey subscription. I consider myself fortunate to have purchased the app a while back and am grateful that we have the privilege to use it indefinitely. I genuinely hope that the developers continue to keep the app updated. It means so much to those of us who are striving to make our mark in the design community on a shoestring budget. When you pick a colour and press the export button in the top right had corner you can save the colour as a wallpaper. I then went into my photos and there it was, in classic Pantone post card style. Worth every penny. This is an app for professionals and my digital art work uses colour.
