### 3/5 — If it only worked as advertised

*2026-07-03, version 2.9.1*

I spent days putting my entire food inventory in and now some of it is missing. What’s going on? I can find the food in my timeline but it doesn’t show up in my inventory. What a waste of time. I would have sent a private note but this is the only way I can see to communicate

### 4/5 — good simple pantry app

*2026-06-06, version 2.9.1*

it’s a really good app and really useful when I’m out and can’t remember if I have something or not in the fridge or pantry. The one thing I really don’t like is that everytime the app refreshes on a new day or a new release happens all the ingredients are marked as a blue dot which usually means you added something new, even though it’s been there already.

### 4/5 — Good, but could be better

*2026-05-25*

This works pretty well. It’s great that I can share it with my spouse and we can keep track of what’s in our pantry. The one thing that would make it easier to use if it was really quick to get to the barcode scanner. They could do that by adding actions if you press and hold on the icon on the Home Screen of your iPhone.
But the best way of all would be to have a custom URL protocol or a Shortcuts action. If they did that somebody could put an NFC tag on their pantry door, tapping it with their phone would launch them right to the barcode scanner. You could even have two tags: one for looking something up and a second for adding items.
This is an iPhone app: it would be great if it took advantage of useful features of iOS to make it less of a hassle to use.

### 3/5 — Almost perfect

*2026-04-25, version 2.9.1*

I have been using the app for a few months and it really good. Scans fast and easy to add unidentified items and move products around. My only struggle is that I REALLY want to set my own categories and be able to organize the categories manually. I waste too much time finding and organizing based on automatic categories.

### 2/5 — Really handy, but gross that you charge money to add any more than 200 items…

*2026-03-25, version 2.9.1*

Please don’t mess with a good thing lol, it works amazing as it is, update it if you need to but the way you can scan everything in and it usually knows exactly what it is is so cool, and in the event it doesn’t, I like that I can contribute a picture and some info, and then it WILL be recognized by someone else’s app, keep this the way it is more or less and I’ll keep using it

### 3/5 — Nothing to compare it with yet

*2026-03-06, version 2.9.1*

So far there is a learning curve.

### 4/5 — Very Handy

*2026-02-01, version 2.9.1*

I am so happy I found this app. My wife doesn’t do steps and all our extra supplies are downstairs. Instead of running down with a list or trying to remember her list for getting meals ready or ordering things, I can just open the app and find what we have.

I find the interface a little inconsistent but once you get a hang of it, it’s usable. I wish there were features that could be turned on and off. In my example, expiration dates are useless. Let me turn them off.

### 5/5 — Easy to use!

*2026-01-25, version 2.9.1*

I appreciate the ease of use, the low cost and the ability to share with my family!

### 5/5 — Wish I had found this sooner

*2026-01-20, version 2.9.1*

Honestly, I love this amp. I can use it as a shopping list and add it to my inventory. I'm kind of a person that is a freak about inventory so especially being in a career for 20 years doing inventory.

### 5/5 — Amazing !

*2026-01-14, version 2.9.1*

Absolutely loving this app. Sooo efficient, user friendly !

### 5/5 — I’m obsessed

*2026-01-13, version 2.9.1*

I’m not sure I’ve ever written a review for an app before but I am in love with this one. It is so clean and easy to use and does exactly what I need it to do: quickly and easily help me keep track of what’s in my house and pantry. It has a clean interface with no ads and/or gimmicks. Love the crowdsourced product info and images. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

### 5/5 — Satisfied user

*2026-01-12, version 2.9.1*

This app is fantastic! Makes my food & non food inventory so much easier to track the expiration date. I love this app! And there’s a free option as well if you have a bit of items to keep track however their subscription is totally fair on price.

### 5/5 — Wonderful App

*2025-12-23, version 2.9.1*

I am thrilled to have discovered this app. We have been forever throwing away items from our pantry because they are “years” out of date. I most appreciate the functionality of pulling the list up while in the grocery store to see if we have an item and the quantity. It became a real assistant when I loaded all of the frozen vegetables in the freezer. Only “potential” project left is loading in all of the spices.

Great app, and a true value.

### 5/5 — Insanely good app.

*2025-11-25, version 2.9.1*

I don’t know much about programming apps but I can feel the passion heart and soul put into this one! If I had one suggestion is to add an option to “buy the developer a coffee” donation.

### 5/5 — This is the most useful app anyone could have

*2025-11-22, version 2.9.1*

This app is absolutely incredible. I can’t believe I’ve gone as long as I have without this. My biggest issue has been food expiring because I just don’t see it. Or I buy things at the store because I don’t realize I already have them. This is absolutely incredible. I can’t wait to see what improvements will come.

### 5/5 — I needed this !!

*2025-10-28, version 2.9.1*

Where has this been all my life! It’s amazing.

### 5/5 — Best Pantry App

*2025-10-11, version 2.9.1*

It would be nice if, like for meats, there could be an option to have a “freeze by” date instead of just an expiration date.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Store checkout doesn’t work

*2026-01-03, version 2.9.1*

Whether I’m in the store or outside of the store, I can’t check out with my items. It says looking for location as in the stores location. It doesn’t matter what store I use. Costco, Smith’s, Nel’s Bilo or Fred Meyer’s

### 1/5 — Not family friendly

*2025-12-02, version 2.9.1*

When my husband and I paid for the panzy app we fully expected it to have a login option so we could log into the same account on our iphones. We each have our own iCloud account and there is evidently no way to link our use of the app. What good does that do us when we share cooking and shopping? Plus there is no contact or support for the app. Very very disappointed.

### 1/5 — Store checkout doesn’t work

*2025-11-26, version 2.9.1*

Whether I’m in the store or outside of the store, I can’t check out with my items. It says looking for location as in the stores location. It doesn’t matter what store I use.

### 1/5 — Hard to use

*2025-03-29, version 2.8.7*

I have a problem storing some items where I want them. And, the items that I manage to get where I want it then it‘s hard to add to the total number of each item. I love the idea of this app, but it’s hard to use.

### 1/5 — They can use you creations

*2024-12-29, version 2.8.6*

I am now reading all terms of use now thanks to adobe - if you create a recipe & put that in the app they will have full rights to sell it if they want

### 1/5 — Privacy Policy

*2024-10-20, version 2.8.6*

Has anyone bothered to read all of the privacy policy and everything that they collect from your devices when using this app? Pretty long list of things that they absolutely do not need to collect for this app to be successful. You guys realize that every app you download is tracking private information from your devices and they don’t have to. No matter what you’ve been told, you can reject all of that and still use the app or website if the app gives you a choice which this app doesn’t. Only what you can control on your settings in iPhone and guys that’s not enough.

### 1/5 — PLEASE - NEED ACCESS ON ANDROID PHONES

*2024-10-12, version 2.8.6*

I downloaded and spent MANY HOURS setting up for our home. Was pleased with it so far until…..Stupid me didn’t notice it is for IPhones only. My husband is a chef and main cook in our home. He will be the main one retrieving items from inventory. I desperately NEED A WAY FOR HIM TO ACVESS FROM ANDROID PHONE….. Otherwise I have to cancel, find another one and start over. There aren’t enough hours in the day for this!!

### 1/5 — Really thought this was the one

*2023-03-23*

This really was looking like exactly what we needed to organize and track our home pantry shelves. You can scan the barcode of items to add them to the list and track the stock, and there are shopping and expiring lists. But it’s just fluff. None of it works the way I expected it to (I hoped it would). There is no way to set a threshold amount to trigger an item to appear on the shopping lists. The only way I see for an item to even potentially show up there is to either click Restock manually on each item or to click Finish on the item - which removes it completely from inventory. And you’d expect that perhaps the Auto Generated shopping list would pick up these Finished items (you can’t use this for Restock because you have to enter the list to restock), but there doesn’t seem to be any discernible pattern I could see to what it puts on that list - usually it’s just empty. I was ready to pay for this app and give it 5 stars; on the surface I thought I had finally found the app we needed for home pantry tracking. As it stands, it just seems like a tool that gets in your way instead of solving the problem.

### 1/5 — Did not record all inventory

*2023-01-17, version 2.8.3*

Spent 1 hour scanning over 200 products, when completed, only about 30 items were in my inventory.

The bar codes produced the picture of the actual product, so what gives. Do I have go back and it again? Not happy as no warnings came up

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2022-08-27, version 2.8.3*

Very hard to navigate. Adding inventory is easy but changing quantities or removing items should be much simpler.

Should be able to share the app and allow family members to use it, otherwise they have to write down what they use when you are not there. Might work for a single person but terrible for a family with kids old enough to cook.

Not worth the bother.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The best out there

*2026-08-19, version 2.9.1*

I’ve installed - and dumped - literally every other food tracker.
This one is by FAR the best. I got so sick of wasting food, and this one has really helped. Great design. Only thing that does irritate me a bit is that it sends notifications for everything daily, including stuff expiring in months. Not particularly helpful when the notifications all stack and the stuff expiring in 2 days is right at the bottom hidden under the stuff I really don’t care about right now.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2026-07-08, version 2.9.1*

I never knew what was behind in the back of the refrigerator or inside the pantry. Now at a glance, I can see what I have and can plan meals accordingly. Also will avoid buying doubles.

### 5/5 — Perfectly functional

*2026-05-18, version 2.9.1*

This pantry inventory app that allows you to scan barcodes and add expiration dates two items works amazingly well. Scanning the barcode pulls back pictures of the exact item. It is very quick and very easy to use. It even makes a satisfying 'boop' sound when the item is scanned. I'll be subbing when I hit the limit.

### 5/5 — Practical and helpful!!

*2026-05-17, version 2.9.1*

Very helpful so far! Easy to use and love the expiration tracking.

I wish it had a ‘desired stock qty’ per item that would make creating a generated shopping list more accurate, but either way, this app is ABSOLUTELY worth using.

### 5/5 — simply brilliant

*2026-05-13, version 2.9.1*

I have been looking for a simple pantry app that is not overly americanised or tied to services i don’t need. In fact it’s the first app i considered spending money on! Only change would be the ability to store multiple types of food in different storage location. So tinned fruit for example in pantry and baking cupboard.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-04-05, version 2.9.1*

It’s so easy to keep up with what’s in my pantry now. It prevents me from purchasing duplicates and tells me when products are about to expire. I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2026-03-26, version 2.9.1*

For more than a decade, I’ve been relying on this app for my inventory and grocery shopping. It enables me to have separate shopping lists for each of the stores at which I shop. Love it!

### 5/5 — Lifesaving!

*2026-03-21, version 2.9.1*

I’m not sure what I would do without this app! Honestly. I’ve used it for many years now and it’s proven indispensable. I’m disabled, bed bound, and unable to visually access my refrigerator, pantry, etc. I use the app to keep track of everything, with my caregivers scanning in new items. I especially love the product photographs as I can show them exactly what they need to be looking for when I request something. The shopping list section works brilliantly. There’s a bit of a learning curve involved, but I now have my usage tweaked to suit me. I really appreciate all the flexibility. There are still new discoveries from time to time. Thanks, Pantry Check developers!

### 5/5 — Stellar

Review: The End of "Do We Have Eggs?" Panic
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you’ve ever stood in the grocery aisle staring blankly at a carton of milk, wondering if the one at home is half-full or a science experiment, Pantry Check is about to change your life.
It’s rare to find an app that actually solves a "mental load" problem rather than just adding another digital chore to your list, but this is it. Here is why it’s a permanent resident on my home screen:
Why It’s Stellar:
 * Effortless Inventory: The barcode scanner is snappy and reliable. I spent twenty minutes scanning my pantry, and now I have a digital twin of my kitchen.
 * Expiration Tracking: This is the "killer feature." It sends gentle nudges when items are nearing their end. It’s saved me dozens of dollars by reminding me to use that heavy cream before it turns into cheese.
 * Smart Shopping Lists: It bridges the gap between "I'm out of this" and "I need to buy this" perfectly. When you use the last of the olive oil in the app, it can automatically jump onto your shopping list.
 * Reduced Waste: Beyond saving money, it feels great to actually finish what you buy. It’s the ultimate tool for sustainable, conscious eating.
The Bottom Line:
Pantry Check turns the chaos of a kitchen into a streamlined system. It’s intuitive, sleek, and—most importantly—it works. Whether you’re a meal prepper or just someone tired of buying a third jar of cumin "just in case," you need this app.
"I no longer manage a pantry; I manage a high-efficiency kitchen, all thanks to this app."

### 5/5 — 很棒的应用

*2026-02-01, version 2.9.1*

如果可以选到期日时可以改成日历模式就非常方便了
