But either way when trying to click off of it, it kept on popping up and didn’t let me go. This is a scam. **Developer response:** We’re sorry the subscription requirement wasn’t clear. PantryAI’s features rely on costly AI processing, so a paid subscription is required to use the app sustainably. You can decline without being charged - purchases only occur after confirmation through Apple. We understand that this model isn’t for everyone and appreciate your feedback. ### 1/5 — What’s it cost? *2026-05-19* The first problem was that I had to change the text size on my phone in order to go through the sign up process. Then before I could do anything with the app it wanted me to agree to a free trial without saying how much the subscription would be. I not going to even tryout an app without knowing the cost. **Developer response:** We’re sorry the sign-up process didn’t display correctly with your preferred text size - we’re working to improve accessibility.
