"Log out" is no longer red and now asks before signing you out. Subscriptions: if you pay through the website, the subscription section now shows your current plan instead of Apple options that do not apply to you. Login: a failed key retrieval now shows a clear error with a retry button instead of what looked like an instant logout. With end-to-end encryption enabled you can re-upload your key file directly. ### 1.16.0 — 2026-09-17 New in 1.16.0 - Choose the screen PaperHero opens on: Dashboard, Documents, Tags or Inbox - Upload files up to 100 MB, up from 30 MB - Large uploads no longer time out on slow connections - Uploads retried after a dropped connection no longer create duplicates - Various stability and performance improvements ### 1.15.1 — 2026-09-15 Two-factor sign-in works again If two-factor authentication is enabled for your account, signing in used to fail with a connection error immediately after you confirmed your code. Sign-in now completes properly. Clearer sign-in errors When sign-in does not work, the app now names all three details that can be wrong: instance ID, email address and password. It previously said the password was incorrect, even when the password and email were right and only the instance ID had a typo. Worth knowing: your instance ID is just the first part of your address, for example acme for acme.customer.paperhero.io. Error messages now also reliably appear in your device language. ### 1.15.0 — 2026-09-12 Documents by email You can now send documents to PaperHero by email. Every user gets a personal address, and anything you send to it lands in your inbox, ready to process like any other upload. Turn it on in Settings. Your address only appears once the setting is saved, because mail sent while it is switched off is not accepted. If you would rather not be reachable by just anyone, switch on the sender whitelist and add the addresses you trust. New in Settings: a log of incoming email. It lists every message that arrived, whether it was accepted or rejected, and for rejected mail the reason why, so you can tell the difference between "it never arrived" and "it was turned away". Entries are kept for 30 days. Administrators of an account can see this log for their users, and it says so on the screen. Administrators can also manage email ingress for the people in their account, including the sender whitelist. Small things: - Tap your ingress address to copy it - The save button in Settings now stays in view while you scroll - New button to create a folder while browsing documents - App icon supports the dark and tinted home screen styles - Clearer explanation when you open a folder you do not have access to - German translations across the app - Fixes to going back in the documents browser and to the folder picker preselecting the wrong folder ### 1.14.0 — 2026-09-05 VERSION 1.14.0 You can now create folders directly in the documents browser - the plus button sits next to the breadcrumb. The app icon now supports the dark and tinted home screen styles. Permission problems show a clear explanation instead of a technical error message. VERSION 1.13.0 Content search You can now search the text inside your documents, not just their names, tags and extracted fields. If a keyword search comes up empty, tap "Search in document content" to look through the document text itself. Results show the matching passage with your search term highlighted. Content search matches terms exactly as you type them. Upper and lower case do not matter, but it does not correct spelling or match parts of words. Improvements - Far fewer documents are wrongly flagged as possible duplicates. Scanned pages with little content and recurring documents such as monthly invoices used to trigger false warnings; both now behave correctly. - Error messages are clearer.
