I use it for my travel packing list. When I need to pack again, I can un-check all items on the and I can start checking my packed items again. Even use it for my extensive Christmas shopping list. Once I have finished shopping for a person, they get checked and my list only shows who I have left. ### 4/5 — Great substitute for Springpad *2014-07-12, version 2.2.1* With the demise of my favorite list-making app (and more), Springpad, I was forced to search for another list making app, so I went back to the selections I had made before I had discovered Springpad. Evernote was the recommended substitute, but I prefer an app that easily enables me to tap and drag items around to reorder them. I just tested out this app again, and found out that not only can you intuitively tap and drag items around; you can automatically alphabetized them! This will be my go-to app for making checklists now. Hopefully there will be additional features in the future (or in the paid version?). ### 5/5 — Very Handy List Maker *2014-05-22, version 2.2.1* It is all I need- a simple list maker. The icons are nice to show the list types. For example you can have a house icon for home related lists, a dog for pet related stuff, on so on. I also appreciate the ability to lock it with a password. There is nothing on my list to hide but I just prefer to keep it to myself. I like it so much that I might upgrade to the full program just to support the developers :-) Just saw the review that said TickTick is better. What? That costs $20 per year by subscription! This upgrade to full program is under $3. Go figure! ### 5/5 — Awesome app! *2014-05-03, version 2.2.1* I have a large book collection & have been looking for a way to organize my books so that when I'm out shopping, I don't buy a book I already have! This app allows you to create any kind of list you want. You can create a bucket list, add a book & all its chapters, create a list of movies w/ description, create a grocery list, a to do list & anything else you can think of!! Finally an app that I can customize to my needs! As far as I can tell, the sky's the limit with this one!! ### 4/5 — Fantastic! Add Sublists? *2014-04-15, version 2.2.1* One thing I wish this app had was sublists. In my Errands list, I'd love to be able to put Grocery Store as an item with the gorceries that I can check off. That would make this app worth 7 stars! Other than that... This app is amazing. I am so happy I got it. I searched forever to find a good list app like this one: something without tons of sharing options and priority shinanigans. Paperless rules. Once I fill up my space on the lite version I'm definitely going to buy the full version. I love the icons, but why, out of the numerous icons,do you have none regarding Christianity? No church, no cross, no bible, no dove... nothing that would symbolize a list for a Bible class or favorite scripture verses? I keep numerous lists for my church involvement, yet there is not a single icon I can use for this purpose. My goodness, you have everything from yen yangs to chairs to peace symbles, but nothing which could represent a church list. Please include that in an update. ### 5/5 — Wonderful Checklist App *2013-09-15, version 2.1.2* I absolutely love this app. I have been using it for weekly assignments, and since my tasks do not go up to 30 per week, this Lite app is perfect for my needs. I love the option of adding notes to the basic tasks, and I also like being able to check and uncheck tasks multiple times. This is incredibly useful and has become essential for me as I attempt to organize myself. ### 5/5 — Great lists *2013-08-15, version 2.1.2* User interface is good for me, acts solid like a paper list with just a few bonus features thanks to being digital. I can check off daily tasks without deleting them so the list is easy to reset. Items can be copied if I want the same task multiple days for example. I can take notes about the task before, during, or after. Love the icons. Lite version is perfectly adequate - I am purchasing because I'm so pleased. ### 5/5 — Great app *2013-06-29, version 2.1.2* I've used other note apps & this one is the best. I like that I can title my note along with the picture you can choose to help identify it. I like that once you check off an item on your list it moves down and turns gray so you know it is completed. I do wish I could arrange the list differently. For example numerically and color coding. I've used more than a dozen including Astrid, Reminders, Notes, Etc. and none are as User Friendly as this one. I wanted an app JUST for my "To Do" lists, NOT an app to coordinate with every other app I have (it may have this function, but I don't have to use it.) I use this for everything from my "Bucket List" to my "Grocery List" and each list can be alphabetized. You can also customize each list with Icons for easy identification. If you need and want an app to keep any checklist in the world, this is it. ### 5/5 — Perfect app *2013-05-13, version 2.1* I've never reviewed an app before, haven't found one worth my time or that I cared to share about before. The interface is super easy to use, clean and simple. It also allows you to do what you would naturally do on paper: label a list, add list items and sometime add details about the list items. It works just like I would make lists on paper but allows me to modify it and actually read it since its not in my own handwriting. ### 5/5 — Perfect List Maker *2013-03-23, version 2.1* I mainly downloaded this app so that I could keep separate lists of separate things that are on mind or that I need to buy or do. It works perfectly fine for me. Love the little icons you can choose for each list and that you can choose whether or not you want the list to be a check off or not. I would definitely recommend this app. 😊 ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — How can this app not have a Find feature?? *2021-12-13, version 2.5.0* This is a bare-bones list app. How bare-bones? If I have a list that has dozens of entries, I have to scroll through it each time to search for a particular item. And why do I have to do that? BECAUSE THIS APP HAS NO “FIND.” It’s incomprehensible to me, but there you have it. I’ve searched high and low in the documents I’ve made and cannot find that option. And let’s face it: I shouldn’t have to search high and low in an app to locate a feature as basic and essential as “Find.” So, unless you’re content with what’s, basically, a featureless list maker, move on. There are many other options on the App Store. ### 1/5 — So irritating!! Do not upgrade to full version!!!!! *2019-05-05, version 2.4.3* I was using the free Paperless Lite version for years and I loved it. I had all my lists full of information in it. I recently got a new phone and when I restored from iCloud none of my items were there. The free version didn’t give me any way to back up the information. So I paid the $2.99 for the full version so I could sync/use drop box. Imagine my frustration when the full version kept none of my lists. I can’t find anywhere in the help section on how to get my information back. So I went to my old phone. Info gone there too. Restored my old phone from a backup from 2 days before I got the new phone. Information still all gone. I reached out to App Support. HOPEFULLY someone will get back to me on how to get all my info back. If you have the free version and are even thinking of upgrading it, take pictures/screenshots of all of your information so you do not lose it. ### 1/5 — CAN NOT UPGRADE *2018-09-16, version 2.4.3* I started with the lite version and decided to upgrade. Purchased the version because it said my list would be copied. Was not. Developer now wants me to use a new app he developed at a higher price. STAY AWAY. I've been using this app for a long time. I liked it so much that I bought the paid version was great until I bought the iPhone 7 a few months ago. Now it won't let me download the paid app unless I purchase it all over again. I'm on my same Apple ID and same iCloud account so what's the problem? This is not ok. I bought the app fair and square like I'm supposed to BUT because they've had a few "updates" such as bug fixes, not new features....NOT new versions ....simple little updates only .... and because I now have an iphone 7 instead of iPhone 6, I must purchase the app (AGAIN). NO WAY! I'll find another list app, not like there's not a ton out there. ### 2/5 — Stunning but... *2011-08-24, version 2.0* This is one of the nicest looking list apps I've come across on the iPhone. The icons are marvelous and the UI is simple, yet elegant. I'd easily rate this 5 stars and upgrade to the full version if it weren't so limited in its task/todo capabilities. If all you need is a nice looking app to create lists, you might be satisfied. But if you are looking for a capable task manager, you will be greatly disappointed. For instance, you can't even set a due date for an item. I'm not sure why the badge count option is even included if it has no way of communicating relevant information. It simply includes everything in the lists you have chosen to be reflected by the badge count. Pointless information for a badge count. This is a list maker, plain and simple. There are other apps out there that also serve this function, while also including basic task management features. Based on my conversations with the developer, I don't think you will ever see changes made to this app to make it more task friendly. However, hopefully he will build a new app dedicated to task management that is as beautiful looking as Paperless. One can only hope. ### 3/5 — A much less refined 'Clear' *2014-11-24, version 2.2.4* I'm all for the simple, minimal, priority-driven, uncomplicated list/todo apps. But this one wastes your time in icon land, and is one layer deep, which is totally great, except Clear does it much better, smoother, and more quickly, and you have the option to tack on a simple reminder alarm if needed. I don't need any icons. This is so cumbersome in comparison. I will say the notes function is a plus, but is slightly counter-intuitive to the concept and workflow of the app: quick and adaptive flexibility. Notes don't fit. An alarm does. ### 3/5 — Good For Task Managing/ Not Best For Syncing Information *2012-04-30, version 2.0.4* This is a good app. It works as a simple task organizers and the graphics are wonderful. My only complaint is that I have had problems with the automatic-syncing... I don't know whether it has bugs or what is causing the problems, but I notice that when I use the automatic sync option thru dropbox, it often leaves some of my lists out or doesn't sync them at all. This was irritating and disappointing because I need this app to sync constantly because I often enter information between my IPAD and IPOD Touch devices. Im sad because I can no longer use the device as a result. I also don't want have to always manual sync often because that would lower my productivity. However, if you are looking for a device to enter quick list and are not worring about synching the information all the time, this app may be a gem.. ### 4/5 — Can’t be saved in iCloud (???) *2019-01-22, version 2.4.3* Really liked this App after downloading it and was about to purchase the full version for $2.99. HOWEVER, I checked to be sure that I could save my data in iCloud. Imagine my surprise when I found out some users lost ALL their data using your free dropbox for backup & syncing. Why would you not make it so we could back it up in the iCloud instead (or better yet, in addition to backup in the dropbox)? I cannot afford, after laying out ALL I have to accomplish, for that to happen. It would be crippling. Seems having both ways for backup would offer maximum protection. Can you explain why saving to iCloud is not an option? If iCloud backup was included, I would make the purchase AND give the App a 5.0 rating. PLEASE GET BACK WITH ME IN CASE I AM MISSING SOMETHING. ### 4/5 — Helpful. *2017-06-02, version 2.2.13* I'm pleased with the app. I am able to define my individual entries in ways I couldn't do before. I really like having icons identify each topic. They make it quick and easy to select the correct list. I know that having over 400 icons seems like a lot, but I find myself longing for more. Some are repetitive and others do not address the particular subject as well as I would like them to. Though I have my regular (much more expensive) app to track my longer term goals, progress and lists, I use this app for my ‘ToDay’ list, grocery list and other short term lists. The huge list of icons to add to the title of your lists is convenient and makes finding the list you want just that much quicker. It has a very clean look that is refreshing after seeing some other apps that make a list seem complicated. Overall it's very well done. Side note: love the example story line. ### 5/5 — The GOLD Standard for Notes & Lists. *2016-05-13, version 2.2.9* 6 STARS. I've scoured the store (now you don't have to). This app, IMO, is by a healthy amount, THE BEST app for filing (and locking, if you wish to) notes and lists. Oh sure, you'll want to have other notepads (hint: Tasku), broad task planners (I like "TaskCat"; but this is largely personal preference), a calendar (hint: "Moca"), and a short term task planner (hint: "Do it Tomorrow"). BUT; You'll want to have this secure "Paperless" app on your home screen. The nice thing about this app is that you'll be able to use the "Lite" version for a long, long while before you fill it up with notes/lists. Then, you'll come around to buying the full version and the developer of this outstanding app will get paid for his work. Simply try it; I challenge you to find and name another notetaker/listmaker that tops this one. [You won't find one.] I know I sound a bit arrogant here, but it's only to help many shoppers save the time (that I lost!). Cheers, and please leave good suggestions of your own about other apps at the app store. It helps me when shopping! ### 5/5 — So happy with this! *2015-10-02, version 2.2.6* I have been using Paperless Lite for a while and just decided to upgrade since I'd hit the 30-item limit in the lite version. I was initially dismayed when I opened the paid version is just installed to see that none of my lists were there. I thought I'd have to start over, or at least email all my lists to myself to import to the full version. But when I went back to Lite, I found a "Transfer Lists to Paperless" button in the settings. One click and within half a second all my lists were in the full version, organized just as I'd left them. It was a beautiful thing. (Should have been a normal thing, but not all apps do that this well!) the only feature currently on my wish list is the ability to attach an alarm to an item that might be particularly important to get done on time. I realize I can do that through my calendar, but I'd rather use one app rather than two for this. ### 5/5 — Excellent, simple, intuitive *2015-03-21, version 2.2.4* I have tried countless To Do apps. All are far too complex and always have that nasty learning curve to overcome. I dont want countless fancy colors, countless folders and files and swipes and taps.
