PaperVeil is a local-first PDF scanner and photo-to-PDF maker for documents you want to keep in your hands.

Turn a receipt, form, note, ID copy, class handout, contract page, or multi-page paper document into a clear PDF from your iPhone. Scan with the camera or select images from your library, correct each page, arrange the finished document, and export only when it looks right. No account is required.

A PRIVATE, PRACTICAL DOCUMENT TOOL
PaperVeil is built for everyday paperwork without turning it into an upload workflow. Your scans, imported photos, generated PDFs, and recognized text stay on your device while you work. Use it for personal records, study notes, travel documents, receipts, invoices, forms, and documents you need to send on your own terms.

SCAN PAPER WITH CONTROL
• Capture a single page or build a multi-page document
• Scan from the camera, then continue directly to page arrangement
• Detect paper edges automatically and correct the detected document area
• Fine-tune all four corners yourself when automatic detection needs help
• Use the on-screen magnifier and center crosshair for precise corner placement
• Rotate a page before applying edits or creating the PDF

MAKE CLEAN, READABLE PAGES
• Straighten a photographed page and crop away unwanted background
• Compare changes immediately in the editor before applying them
• Choose Original to preserve the photo as captured
• Use Enhance for a clearer image while keeping color
• Use Gray for a neutral grayscale page
• Use B&W for simple black-and-white output
• Use Scan for high contrast, crisp document-style black-and-white pages
• Reset an edit when you want to start again

CREATE PDFS FROM PHOTOS
• Import selected images from your library, including HEIC, JPEG, PNG, and other iPhone-compatible image formats
• Create a document from a camera capture, a scan, or a group of existing photos

YOU DECIDE WHAT LEAVES YOUR DEVICE
PaperVeil is designed for on-device work: document detection, corner adjustment, image editing, PDF creation, and printed-text recognition happen on your device. PaperVeil does not require an account, does not run a document-upload service, and does not upload your scans, imported images, generated PDFs, or recognized text to a PaperVeil server. When you use Share, you choose the destination through iOS.

This makes PaperVeil a focused utility rather than a cloud document locker: scan, review, organize, export, and stay in control of your files.
