## What is Papivo?

Papivo turns one sentence into a handwritten paper card that writes itself.

Type a line — something someone said, a lyric you keep coming back to, a good-night message. Papivo sets it in a handwriting face on real-feeling paper, underlines the words you mark, and plays it back in three to five seconds. Export a picture or a short video and send it anywhere.

ONE SHEET OF PAPER, ONE PEN
  • Write straight on the card. Tap the text to edit; select a few words and mark them.
  • Tap anything on the paper — the sticker, the photo, the blank space — to change it: paper, pen, motion, photo.
  • Three ways to move: Present, Handwrite, Whisper. The card settles, the words arrive, the underline is drawn.
  • Seventeen handwriting faces — six for English, nine for Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), one each for Japanese and Korean — on six papers: cream, kraft, white, mint, slate and night. A little unevenness in every letter.
  • Picture (PNG) or video (MP4), no watermark, in 1:1, 4:5, 3:4 or 9:16. Straight into the share sheet. Free.
  • Every card is kept in the card box under the paper. Swipe up and down to leaf through them, copy one, or tear it up.
  • A dark mode that looks like a desk lamp at night.

  PAPIVO PRO — ONE PURCHASE
  • Put a photo on the card: polaroid, tape or a white border. Drag it, turn it, zoom it.
  • Every sticker pack — the Mid-Autumn pack and every one we draw later — and up to four stickers on a card. (Sixteen everyday stickers are free for everyone.)
  • Draw your own sticker with three pen widths and two inks; it gets drawn on stroke by stroke.
No subscription, no account. Writing, every motion style and exporting stay free.

  PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Everything stays on your phone. No account, no analytics, no uploads.

The name comes from a line in the Book of Songs: 中心藏之，何日忘之 — I keep it in my heart; how could I forget?

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-07

This update adds widgets for your Home Screen and Lock Screen, and includes other improvements and bug fixes.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-24

• Photo cards make room for your words: write several lines under a photo and the photo steps back, so every line and your sticker stay on the card.
• A short tour on first launch shows where everything is.
• Tapping the paper is more forgiving: near your words to write, blank paper for the menu.
• Starting to type is smoother.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-23

iPad, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean. A card now holds up to four stickers. New Mid-Autumn sticker pack: seventeen hand-drawn stickers — the moon, mooncakes, rabbits, lanterns, Chang'e, a tea set for two. Tapping the paper is smoother: one tap, one thing.
